The Cruel Prince X Twelve Dancing Princesses X A Dark and Hollow Star
Her Enchanted Garden #1: Potent Poison, Treasured Tonic
Living, breathing symbols of a decades-old treaty, half-faery Elowyn Fleetwood and her eleven sisters exist between worlds: their powerful human father’s mundane modern kingdom of sleek chrome and neon lights and their faery mother’s ethereal ancestral realm of magic and mischief.
The Festival of Fortune— a celebration held once every decade to commemorate the pact between worlds— draws nearer by the day. Eight courts—four mortal and four immortal— will gather in the Realm Between— but this time, chaos will reign.
An eternal life will yield to a pilfered poison, and only Elowyn holds the antidote to peace—or ruin.

A Ghost of Worship lives within those walls, meanwhile a predictor in the trappings of religion lives without. The island is a new life for Jacob, a community to nurture, a new faith to found, and a past to confront. A collection of Broken people and Broken things gather, and together they might be able to make a Whole.

The Godfather meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer in...
The Incubucks
The Santorini mafia is a crime syndicate made up of seven head families. Each have a son who is expected to take over once their fathers are gone, but these young men are pushed into the fray before their time as their consigliere is abruptly replaced. The new one  - who simply goes by Comet - is enigmatic and strangely young for the job but Rudolph, heir of the Santorini family, finds out that he is actually a demon who buys and trades information with otherworldly entities, and uses that intel to advise Mr. Santorini - which has resulted in them nearly tripling their earnings overnight. And at the request of Mr. Santorini, Comet grants Rudolph and the other heirs the arcane and enticing magic of an incubuck - an incubus buck - and tasks them with protecting their own from other forms of supernatural harm prowling the streets. Being thrust into gang violence at a young age doesn't do well for anyone, but there's no harm if it's for the sake of your family, right? ... Right?

Now he has to keep anyone from finding out what he's done all while grappling with realizations of morality, of wanting escape, and wanting to be a better person that he sees in Raymond. The safest option is to keep his cover, do his job, and keep Raymond far away from Calson City-- but that may come at the cost of the person he wants to be. The secret of Raymond being alive is threatening to come out amidst assignments, discoveries, and investigations-- all while Terran is surrounded by the Syndicate's watchful eyes.

M+S Pitch Week - 3/29
For the @moon-and-seraph pitch week! EEEE I'm so glad I had time to do this before my first session! This/That Comparison pitch: The House in the Cerulean Sea meets Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries
Tumblr media
The Heartwood Trilogy is perfect for fans of "A Marvellous Light" by Freya Marske and "A Sorcery of Thorns" by Margaret Rogerson, as well as adults who miss the whimsical world of young adult fantasy but desire more emotionally mature adult characters. Title: The Heartwood Trilogy (working on new names but at present are Lilydale, Superior, and Agassiz) Blurb: Ever since quiet, bookish Andrew Vidasche made the red-eyed faerie bleed, the Folk over the city in Lilydale have been slowly driving him insane. Half-Fae lord Micah Stillwater feels Lilydale is always watching him, too, even though he’s trying his hardest to seem like a normal human. Throughout the three books in The Heartwood Trilogy, Andrew and Micah explore how to build their love and their lives around the magic-drenched bluffs of Lilydale with its dangerous but endearing Folk, facing down threats from family trauma, mental health crises, and greedy witches out to exploit Micah’s unique and powerful nature as he comes into his own lordship over Lilydale. This 160,000-word trilogy explores the magic of the city and the magic within against the romance of bookish Andrew Vidsache and half-Fae lord Micah Stillwater. With dangerous women, shapeshifting wolves, wicked witches, and a tender romance between men, The Heartwood Trilogy is perfect for fans of Holly Black, The House in the Cerulean Sea, Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faerie, and A Sorcery of Thorns.
Tumblr media
Current stage: completed, querying (also ripping apart the first three chapters ?? ooop) Themes: queer fantasy (cast includes gay, vaguely gay/bisexual/pansexual/never actually labels himself, transgender, asexual, polyamorous), mental health (C-PTSD, parental inversion, suicidal ideation, self-harm, major depressive disorder, panic disorder *my own voice*, addiction, and let's face it Micah is probably ADHD or whatever the Fae equivalent is) Content warning: magical violence, implied addiction, implied sexual assault, self-harm, suicidal ideation
