“Dead,” Freddy whispered, her eyes dark, she’d always been a child with expressions, but sometimes she’d retreat back, her mind tearing itself apart and her emotions swirling in her chest, “Blood... kids, on the ground...” her voice cracked.

“That’s not the reason they brought you here, though, is it? That’s not what you Saw.” Merrick hung back, watching with eagle eyes.
