all the people acting like they're never gonna see the Protag again because she's moving to NYC, away from her home in far away SOUTH AMBOY, a town with its own train station with NJTransit trains running the 45 minute ride to Penn Station constantly from 3:30 AM to 11:30 PM that literally thousands ride back and forth every day because going into the city even just for a couple of hours is a normal thing to do in that part of Jersey ┗( T﹏T )┛

finally going back to naddpod via the noncampaign episodes like dungeon court and mixed bag and man I really do enjoy listening to these fuckers talk about anything I don't know that I have room in my heart yet for duck team again but damn I forgot how much I liked axmurphwell and jake

okay i've started listening to tma, and i love it so much, but i could barely listen to ep 31 first hunt, as someone from the exact area that statement is set

fIRST he said appalachia wrong and i nearly turned it off-

then he started talking about ELK hunting and i had to text my dad because i have NEVER seen an elk and i grew up exploring the woods as far as i could and I've seen a lot of animals. apparently there are elk but not??? many???? it would've made more sense to talk abt whitetails or mountain lions ALSKRJFAKZKEKVJA

these are the three WIPs I care about most at the moment, and I was feeling glumly certain at least two of them would never see the light of day, but this inspired me to go add to them when I should have been sleeping. I'm grateful!!

1— Eliot's face goes soft. He feels it happen. He runs his fingers through his hair to tidy it the barest bit, steps outside, and closes the door quietly behind him.

2— Eliot doesn't fight these days - except for sparring with Quinn and teaching Parker a few things, except for stepping in when one of his students is cornered by an angry parent outside the school, he doesn't fight. But he would fight to keep this life, and he would fight to keep this family.

And he knows now, surrounded by the proof of it, that they would fight to keep him too.

3— (. . .) Eliot murmurs, cupping his hand around the back of Quinn's neck and drawing him close enough that the next words are almost against his lips (. . .)

He feels as Quinn's hands settle at his sides, watches as Quinn's eyes dip down then track back up his face. "Deal," Quinn breathes, and meets him.

oh the hubris of not immediately washing the blanket I brought to our campsite ...

woke up to BUG BITES. and now spending the day washing and cleaning all our bedding since I threw the blanket on top of our bed last night

my old binder was a constant hug and I miss it. unfortunately it was also a handsewn monstrosity of scrap denim and elastic panels and that means I have to go through all that again (including all the measuring and guesswork because guess who didn't take notes on the very experimental process). and all because [redacted just trust me that traditional binders don't work for me]

#maybe I'll feel more positive about the underworks binding sports bra once I've had a chance to lower my expectations #but shoutout to the handsewn denim monstrosity for getting me flatter more comfortably I guess??#if it were just a matter of it being slightly too small now OR the elastic wearing out I would just alter it. but alas.#I just looked it up and I first wore it out six years ago. it was a good day. it rained and I listened to folk music in a manorhouse.#yes I'm getting sentimental about a garment it's fine and normal #deep sigh I need to bite the bullet and resign myself to working on binder 2.0 #that or cough up enough to try trans tape but friends when I tell you I get rashes from ''sensitive'' plaster adhesive--#this has been whinging with falderal when I should be asleep. thank you for attending.#falderal speaks #tomorrow.
