काँवड़ यात्रा मानसून के श्रावण माह मे किए जाने वाला अनुष्ठान है। कंवर (काँवर), एक खोखले बांस को कहते हैं इस अनुष्ठान के अंतर्गत, भगवान शिव के भक्तों को कंवरिया या काँवाँरथी के रूप में जाना जाता है।

हिंदू तीर्थ स्थानों हरिद्वार, गौमुख व गंगोत्री, सुल्तानगंज में गंगा नदी, काशी विश्वनाथ, बैद्यनाथ, नीलकंठ और देवघर सहित अन्य स्थानो से गंगाजल भरकर, अपने-अपने स्थानीय शिव मंदिरों में इस पवित्र जल को लाकर चढ़ाया जाता है।

उत्तर प्रदेश में कांवड़ यात्रा को मंजूरी देने के फैसले के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में आज सुनवाई हुई। स्वत: संज्ञान मामले की सुनवाई के दौरान सुप्रीम कोर्ट में केंद्र सरकार ने कहा कि कांवड़ यात्रा की इजाजत नहीं दी जा सकती है। केंद्र सरकार ने साफ कहा है कि योगी सरकार को शिवमंदिरों तक गंगा जल उपलब्ध कराना चाहिए और कोरोना को देखते हुए हरिद्वार से कांवड़ यात्रा की अनुमति नहीं देनी चाहिए। हालांकि, सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को अपने फैसले पर पुनर्विचार करने के लिए सोमवार तक की मोहलत दी है। बता दें कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा कांवड़ यात्रा निकालने की अनुमति देने की खबर का स्वत: संज्ञान लिया और इस मामले पर राज्य सरकार के साथ-साथ केंद्र से भी जवाब- तलब किया था। #GrameenNews #GrameenNewsUttarPradesh #YogiAdityanath #KanwarYatra #श्रावण #श्रावणमास2021 (at Uttar Pradesh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRYf8XGnuDh/?utm_medium=tumblr
