Indonesia and the US discuss the acquisition of F-15IDN fighters

The Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force, General CQ Brown Jr., received the leader of the Indonesian Air Force, Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo, for an official counterpart visit on May 19, during which the sale of F-15IDN aircraft to Indonesia was discussed, as well as updating existing jets.

As part of the visit, Fadjar had a reception with all the honors and was awarded a Legion of Merit at the Anacostia-Bolling Joint Base, participated in a connection with Brown and conversations with officials at the Pentagon and participated in a crown placement ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.

The two leaders also discussed Indonesia's defense modernization initiatives, including the proposal to acquire F-15IDN aircraft from Indonesia and upgrades to existing platforms, and how an air component can allow greater awareness of the maritime domain, the U.S. Air Force confirmed in a statement.

In February, the U.S. approved the sale of the Boeing F-15 Advanced Eagle fighter aircraft to Jakarta for an estimated $13.9 billion. It covers up to 36 Indonesian-specific F-15ID variants of Advanced Eagle, as well as related equipment, spare parts, mission kit, training and support. In addition to the aircraft's internal M61A Vulcan Gatling cannon, weapons are not included in the package.

A week before the U.S. approved the sale, Indonesia signed a contract with the French company Dassault Aviation for 42 Rafale fighters. Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto said that the $8.1 billion agreement is part of a series of agreements that also include the development of submarines.

The F-15ID is the latest version of the Advanced Eagle export that was previously sold to Saudi Arabia as the F-15SA and Qatar as the F-15QA, and which features a number of capacity improvements over previous generation models. Although the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) notification does not provide much details about the probable final configuration of the F-15ID, it notes that it must be equipped with the AN/ALQ-250 Eagle (EPAWSS) passive active warning survival systems as installed in the U.S. Air Force F-15EX Eagle II. This feature indicates that the F-15ID will be the most advanced version of the 'Advanced Eagle' sold to foreign countries so far, if the agreement is finalized.

Hey Steph, me again, I'm on a bit of a streak here: I just spent until midday in bed with such a brilliant Johnlock ghoststory, I simply had to share it and ask for more. So, the story, giant rec: The Master of Latham Hall by Kryptaria on AO3. (can't include link in an ask, ugh) And then the question: please please please give me more Johnlock haunted house case fics or the like. Ghost cases. Gah. October has me in its paws.

Hope it’s okay I put both of your fic reqs together since they’re both for a theme of Halloween, LOL!!

Thought it would be a good time to update all my Halloween-y fics and all the ones I have MFL’d over the past couple years. Note that I am posting JUST Ghost fics or fics labelled Halloween! PLEASE check out the masterpost I made last year to a HUGE list of supernatural-type fics, so there will be some Vampires, werewolves, creepy fics, etc. on that list for you @dreamingbrownie if you want more than just “Halloween” fics, LOL!
