Dorothea tries her hand at cooking. Bernadetta's search for Elsa leads her to a village that doesn't exist. Elsa makes a lot of new friends.

With her strong eyesight, Elsa made out the shape approaching them quickly. A white labcoat (though liberally stained with filth), silver hair… Doctor Ver emerged from the shadows, dirty and disheveled, eyes wide with wild madness. He laughed. “Oh, you’re here! You’re all here!” He kicked at the water and splashed around like a child. “You all came here and waited for me, just like I asked! Well, wait no longer! I, your savior, your hero, Doctor Ver, have arrived!” Miss Flatwoods and Sasquatch looked down at him. The former’s luminous eyes lit him up like searchlights. He squinted through them and folded his hand over his brow. “Hello, beautiful,” he said. Elsa couldn’t believe what she was seeing. “Y-You’re ‘C-Cool Hand Luke,’ you are?” “Of course I am!” He defiantly met each of the monsters’ skeptical glares. “Yes, it was I who was leaving those coded messages for you,” he insisted. “I’m the hero who’s going to save you all, your very own personal Paul Newman!” “The pasta sauce and salad dressing guy?” the Jersey Devil asked him. “No, you’re thinking of Orville Redenbacher,” Miss Flatwoods said. “Paul Newman was the popcorn guy.” “Luke died at the end of the movie,” Sasquatch pointed out. “You and I must have watched two very different versions of that movie,” Ver retorted with a smug, self-assured smile, the kind Millaarc wouldn’t have hesitated to describe as, pardon Elsa’s proverbial French, a shit-eating grin. He had a Backpfeifengesicht if ever there were one. “Anyway, I’m the genius Doctor John Wayne Vercingetorix, or Doctor Ver for short, or just Doctor if you’re really in a hurry, and I’m here to break you all out of this prison. Do you want to come along, or are you happy being poked and prodded and vivisected for the rest of your life?”
