-Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes return to Degrassi and Toronto for the premiere of their Degrassi-filmed movie, "Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Eh!". The premiere gets everyone at Degrassi into a frenzy and vying for the hard to come by premiere tickets. Upstaging the spectacle of the premiere are Alex and Paige, who are each other's dates for the evening. From the heat they create at the premiere and the after premiere party, which they manage to crash, they move their evening to more serious matters as Paige witnesses the turbulence of Alex's home life first hand, to a quieter and more emotional ending to the night. On a more secretive level, Peter and Emma are each other's unofficial date for the evening. Emma and Peter's evening reaches an almost romantic climax, interrupted as they witness an even more clandestine liaison than theirs, that between Emma's stepfather, Snake, and Peter's mother, Principal Hatzilakos.

In other news, I had a dream where I was at a Degrassi Q&A panel and Kevin Smith was there (lmao) sitting in the stands where I was, with one person between us. He made some kind of sarcastic comment about the Jay & Silent Bob episodes being some cast member’s favorite to work on (it was obviously a joke) but I was like “hey I really liked those episodes.” He had a look like wow really?? And I said “yeah I love Caitlin so any episode where she gets a plot is great in my eyes.” And he cracks up because of course in my dreams I’m so funny.

But anyway I really do enjoy Caitlin and I know Kevin had a crush on her irl when he grew up watching OG Degrassi so my brain knew what it was doing.

And for all the die hard Drake fans, in my opinion 2018 is the first time any of his videos are on this list based on my topics. The only video I can say that would of made it is “HYFR” due to the genuine story  of the video with his actual life. "Best I ever I had" was funny but not that good. But I guess all Drake needed was a movie budget to bring his ideas to life. And that's not me hating yo, some creatives just have bigger ideas and if they can find the budget to bring those ideas to life, kudos. If you look back at his previous videos, a lot of them seem like attempts to do something that the budget being used wasn't really getting that idea's to where they really needed to be.

So of course Drake's videos are mostly on top when it comes to Views in general but due to the tight competition, Drakes "Nice for What" & "I'm Upset” are the only set on this list too share a spot. Nice For What pulled in a 301 million views followed with I'm Upset with a 85 million viewing.

Now onto Visuals. Visuals for Nice for what & I'm Upset are both made like movies except at different paces and genres. I'm a sucker for nostalgia & the classic cinematic shots that make you feel like you're watching a current generation Breakfast Club. But I would have to give the close edge to Nice for What. Each shot or set, complimented their respective models beautifly. The fact that most of them are relevant & popular stars definitely gave a special type of energy. Despite most of the people in this video were famous, there was a certain type of grounded and relatability to the video.

Story Concept would have to "I'm Upset". Not sure if it was planned or not before nor after the Meek incident. And despite the L he took on hip hop side of things, the opening scene was the ultimate flex to remind the mainstream audience of who he was. Casually sneaking away from a one night stand in the middle of an nba arena. As if you have the keys everyday, they're just aren't too many people doing that nowadays, especially rappers. Once again I would like to point out that I love nostalgic shit and this video has all of it. I didn't really watch degrassi but the characters are still synonymous with my childhood and seeing them brings back memories. That mixed with the That 70's show vibe and everything else, it was dope. The revenge against Jimmy (Drakes Degrassi character” shooter scene in the hallway was priceless. The Jay and Silent Bob cameo was just the icing on this legendary cake. Once again I don't think it gets him a W against Pusha T. But it was one of the best mainstream PR recoveries in hip hop history. Nice for What’s Story is clearly a story of women empowerment told through beautiful and stunning visuals with separate individual stories.

Timeless Energy is the category that decides if a video will age well with time and still an entertaining video. From realsease date to future.

Also Zig/Esme in season 4 because Zig deserved better especially in his final season. my first thoughts on the show: Its definitely an improvement over s13-14 Of Degrassi my thoughts now: I like it a lot but mainly s3-4 and I hope we get a Season 5.

Most disliked character(s)? Why? Esme, because of the way she treats people, Miles, because of the way the writers favoritize him and because of his overratedness in the fandom, Mia, because of the way she acted after JT’s death, her modeling storyline bored me to tears and was unrealistic, she was a bad mother to Isabella, and her relationship with Peter was terrible. Hunter, Baaz, & Vijay, because they all cyberbullied and threatened Maya, & Vijay also outed Zoe online and is just super annoying and dramatic. And Baaz also because of what he said to Grace. Rick, Bobby, Leo, Vince, Dean, Luke, & Neil because they’re rapists/abusers, Katie because she’s a rapist and because of how she treated Bianca(there are times I still liked Katie like after she dyed her hair in season 12 but in s11-early season 12 pre hair-dye I couldn’t stand her). She was also tolerable in Next Class. Derek, because he was an asshole and he beat up Jane. Jimmy, because he was an asshole most of the time and the whole overratedness because of Drake is annoying. Eli, because he’s emotionally manipulative/abusive, cocky, annoying, also because of the way the writers favoritized him and his overratedness in the fandom. S11-s14 Clare, because Eli dragged her down, she became boring & her storylines became extremely unrealistic, and most of her scenes involved Eli plus she had way too much screen time. Liberty, because I found her uptight and bitchy most of the time(sorry I know you like her) I actually liked her in s4, s7, & s8 but in s1-3 and s5-6 I couldn’t stand her. Oh and Drake Lempkey cause he killed JT.

Most disliked arc? Why? JT’s death, Adam’s death, Degrassi Nudes, Clare’s cancer, Clare’s pregnancy/miscarriage, Mia’s modeling storyline, Jane/Declan affair, Spemma marriage, Drecky relationship, anything involving Eclare, Zoemund hook up/Zig cheating on Maya, anything involving Matlingsworth, Peters one day meth addiction, Jay and Silent Bob go Canadian at the end of s4 (God those episodes were boring), Katie/Drew sex storyline at the beginning of s12(because the writers didn’t recognize it as rape like it was). Why? Except for the last one, I don’t really have an explanation for most of these except they are either boring, ridiculous, or both. And JT and Adams death because they were sad obviously.
