just watched through infinity train 4x01 again… i’m not sure if they meant it to be a queer story, but holy shit, the queer subtext is so heavy i can’t imagine it was unintentional. it’s a story i’ve seen a million times, a story i’ve lived.

the childhood friendship and complete trust. the dreams of running away together. the handmade shirt, the way ryan responds to it, the way min-gi can’t help but blush. the way that, even when things fall apart and their lives diverge, they can’t stop thinking about each other. how min-gi has to repress the urge to call ryan when he feels like his life is missing something, how ryan has to repress the urge to call min-gi after every relationship he’s ever been in falls apart. how they reunite and it feels right — inevitable — for both of them. and when they do, the way that ryan knows that, this time, if he just gives a little push, min-gi will follow him to the edge of the universe.

Is season/book 4 of Infinity Train worth it?

I really liked Infinity Train, and I especially loved how each season builds off each other.

Season one was about Tulip, in it we meet Mirror Tulip. Season two was about Mirror Tulip, in it we meat the Apex. Season 3 was about the Apex, in it we see Amelia take Hazel near the end.

so I assumed season 4 would be about Amelia and Hazel, two characters who I found really interesting, if not some of my favorites.

but when the first episode of S4 starts, I recognized none of the characters. I don't assume they're not good characters, the fandom clearly likes them, but I'm not really interested in the story if it dosn't connect to the others. so I haven't watched any more yet

so do Amelia and Hazel ever show up again? if GIF sets are anything to go off of I assume not. There might be more worth-while things in the season but I'm a little nervous that I'll be disappointed
