((I think I finally found the words of why I didn't like the second story that much for Star Rail
It has the same, exact problems as Honkai 3rd's ending
Spoilers in the tags))
#OOC#They just#feed you all the lore and all the worldbuilding stuff#While forgetting that lots of lore is not equal to good storytelling#And what results is that you get walls and walls of text about the Xianzhou#But you do not get much things to do with the present-day characters#while getting to know the current characters like there's so many characters who barely got to do anything#It's quite similar to how you can write walls and walls of text about your world and the lore behind it#But in reality most people just wants to know about their role in the story and how they can help#You can have all the lore in the world but it doesn't matter if people aren't invested in it#Especially dan shu#they did Dan Shu so dirty#and then in Honkai 3rd it has a similar problem of#The final ending is really good but the stuff before that is just walls and walls of text#So much worldbuilding and background lore ideas in their head but the way they presented it is absolutely terrible#In contrast to Belabog which is a super basic plot but have extremely great characters#I do not doubt that there's really good stuff in the character stories#But why can't those moments be integrated in the main story too you know?#Everyone else in the Express crew sat at the back and barely got the time to do anything especially Welt#Still enjoyed it though my favourite part is the puzzles#Anyways I'm going to bed night night jlaSHJLASd
