"Aikatsu! Photo on Stage!!" Mobile Game App to End Its Service as of July 11
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on May 8 that Aikatsu! Photo on Stage!!, the second mobile game app inspired by the Aikatsu! franchise, will end its service as of July 11.

The rhythm game for iOS and Android, PhotoKatsu! for short, was developed by DeNA and launched in
January 2016. It has used anime character images from the first series Aikatsu! and the second series
Aikatsu Stars!, and has offered many newly-produced songs by the idols, along with various spin-off and
sequel stories to the two anime. Because of those special features, it has been loved by the fans of the
franchise who wanted to spend more time with the characters.
However, the franchise's main arcade game Data Carddass Aikatsu Stars! already ended its operation
last month and the last episode of the second TV anime series was aired in Japan on March 29, so this
move is inevitable.
As one of the last gifts for the fans, BNE has opened the "PhotoKatsu! Wallpaper Library" page that you
can download over 170 wallpapers drawn for the game from 2015 to 2018 until July 31.
