Sometimes it’s the little things that bring me the most happiness. I’ve been doing a lot of adult coloring lately to help both decrease my screen time and work on mindfulness because my depression has really been getting worse lately…and that was BEFORE I got COVID this past week.
I’d been using another set of colored pencils but I wanted something with a case (mostly to keep them away from Peanut and my dogs since they both enjoy breaking them, though in different ways) and this set was on sale and not even that expensive to begin with.
I can’t wait to try out the water color pencils, I didn’t even know that was a thing that exists!
Has anyone taken art or drawing classes (online or in-person) as an adult when you really had no natural skill at art? Having all these great sketching tools made me think taking a drawing class might be fun, but I am just really not a gifted artist *at all* do it would need to be geared towards total beginners and I kind of wonder if it would undermine some of the pleasure I take out of coloring because I would, of course, not be very good at it. Especially at first.
You can’t really be bad at coloring.
