Hi, if you're not too backed up on requests, could I request fluff headcanons about Kazuya from smt 1? not romantic necessarily, just nice hcs about him alone or with others (or a single drabble if that's easier to do). Thank you!

Yes, of course! I know I've got tons of matchups to do but I started a Law run of smt1 recently and I got inspired to write this so hERE I AM I GUESS

General Kazuya Headcannons

•He radiates chaotic dumbass energy. His mind is a DVD screensaver and every time it hits the corner he gets a thought

•Kaz, Yuji (Law), and Takeshi (Chaos) collectively have 3 braincells total and Yuji has 2 of them

•Kaz (Takeshi filming): "I will now drink 8 glasses of milk in 2 minutes."

Yuji: "No. Nope. No, you won't"

•It's honestly a miracle he's still alive. He once swallowed a life stone because he thought it would be more effective than using it the normal way

•He doesn't know heck about cooking or basic nutrition either; he's been living off instant ramen ever since Takeshi and Yuji left him by himself. Someone help him. He eats it dry sometimes.

•He has his demons use agi to boil the water

•Yuji: "Hey Kaz, what do you want to eat?"

(The demon in Kazuya's pocket comp): "The souls of the innocent"

Kaz: "A bagel"

Pocket Demon: "NOOOOO"

Kaz: "Two bagel"

•Don't let his dumbassery fool you though. He's a lot smarter than he lets on (at least, he's booksmart. It's common sense he lacks)

•He's got no sense of self preservation, but he cares a lot about Takeshi and Yuji. It almost broke him when they went separate ways; they were all he had after the events of 199X.

•No matter who he eventually sides with, if he chooses to side with anyone at all, the decision haunts him for the rest of his life. He gets horrible nightmares that wake him up in a cold sweat if he's lucky. On some unlucky nights, he's forced to sleep through them, reliving those awful moments again and again.

•He's not one to share emotions. He bottles them up and bites his tongue.

•He's almost never talkative, but on days when he can't shake his bad memories, he's even more quiet. It's subtle though; the only ones who can pick up on it are Takeshi and Yuji.

•Takeshi and Yuji have a foolproof solution for this: tackle-hug the heck out of him and don't let go until he's smiling again. It's dumb and goofy but it WORKS, OK

•He loves staying up late into the morning hours watching bad anime and playing video games. Takeshi and Yuji almost always join him

•And they have the strangest sleep-deprived conversations

-4:19 am, Yu Gi Oh is playing

Kaz: "Yo. What if we could spray sunscreen directly onto the sun. We wouldn't have to put it on anymore"

Takeshi: "Yeah but it would freeze on the way there. Space is cold"

Kaz: "We could send it on a ship. The ship would go directly into the sun and explode on impact, covering the surface with sunscreen. Spf 100 of course"

Takeshi: "That's genius. And the sun is hot, so it won't freeze"

Yuji: "I don't even know where to begin telling you what's wrong with that, because I know you two actually think that would work"
