Metal Mudslide Babies- Site Genera and Silvers

Alright, since I got back SO MANY babies from the Metal Mudslide event all at once, this time I’m gonna break this up into two posts. This first one will be all with the site genera and silvers, and the second one will be my own SCC species. Open to name suggestions for those who don’t have names yet, so I’m open to suggestions!

This one is unusual, not quite sure I get the color scheme but neat anyways. My only real issue is the weird, seemingly pixel-y bits in certain areas, and especially around the skeleton markings, that I just am not sure whether is intended or not.

This one also seems to have that pixel-y issue around the bones, I’m not sure what’s up with that. Other than that, the color scheme is… alright? Part of me wishes that were a more vibrant green instead of an odd, muddy color, but the other part of me suspects it would have clashed too much.

Aaaaaaa look at this happy, soft ghosty boy. A little on the simpler side, in terms of inclusion of markings, but still pretty darn great.

Honest to god, all I can think of is a clown, it’s cute and funny. Though this might be taken to the breeding mistakes thread as the coloring is REALLY choppy in some places, as in you can see that it doesn’t extend all the way to the lines and has white spots peeking through, which aren’t markings or anything on either parent.

Unfortunately again we’ve got this weird effect, this time it kind of looks like the blue markings were spray-painted on. I’m honestly not sure if these are mistakes are not. Other than that, cute baby, reminds me of easter eggs.

Coffeepot

Honestly, this is probably my favorite Naulit Baby of the set. I love the way the colors work, I love the inclusion of the marks, I just love it all.

Another instance of the weird pixel-y markings, though this time it’s also really noticable on the hoof markings too, unfortunately. Otherwise, I adore the coloration, it reminds me of a Tracer skin in Overwatch I like.

While I love the concept of the negative space here, as well as the color scheme, it’s just got that same splotching issue around the edges, unfortunately. Would love to see more of this concept, though, of the marking being negative space where other markings shine through, it’s a super creative take on it.

Ice Storm

Dark kitty who’s blue accents remind me of ice, love it. And thankfully the artist didn’t use TOO much of that bright blue because otherwise I think it would have hurt my eyes too much.

Candy Web

Again, love the coloration and the inclusions of the markings, it’s really pretty and fun to look at.

The coloration on the tentacles is a little unusual, and I’m not quite sure the pink goes with the rest of it, but otherwise a super cute little snail dude.

Coffee Date

Seriously this coloration just reminds me of some sort of pastry I’d find at a coffee shop, and I don’t even go to coffee shops because I hate coffee, but damn do I love this. Gorgeous, and the green-ish coloration of the swirls on the bottom part help them not get lost in the bg or the misty pink accents.

Tinsel

I could put this Arak on my Christmas tree and they wouldn’t seem out of place. I just love it, it’s adorable and shiny.

Love Bites

What a cute little Arak that would likely be glaringly venomous if it were real. It’s just so cute though.

Frosty Nebula

And this is my favorite Naulit of the OTHER Naulit breeding I did. It’s just so cute and the colors and such work well together in a way that the eye can just flow over, if that makes sense. That said it was a hard pick since the ones of this set ALL came out pretty well.

Sun Spot

Again, I just adore the coloration, it’s fun to look at, and it’s cute.

The Bump In The Night

This Naulit just makes me think of the thing you hear in the shadowy corners that you’re afraid of, then when you see it you go “Aww…” And then in leaps up and eats your face off.

Cute, simple colors, I didn’t know that teal and that Purple went so well together. My only complaint is that the pink on the star isn’t used anywhere else on the pet. I think using that on the dome of the UFO would have really tied it all together as well as help the dome not get as lost in the main color of the cat’s fur.
