#this album taking over my life even more than it did in 2020 #could write a whole doctoral thesis defending setting the story in 1880s America #I’m guessing Arjen intended it to be British since it was super directly Downton Abbey inspired #maybe even genuinely Dutch since they didn’t have gender based inheritance laws so Henry’s plot would make a hell of a lot more sense #but oh my god #19th century American history fits PERFECTLY with the album’s themes im telling you #ayreon
