Going insane over the ghost ship section/midgame and how Link absolutely losing control of himself and single handedly sinking the ship is the moment Linebeck decides he’s in over his head here. Not only is the whole situation terrifying and magical- Link himself is terrifying too, in a way. I really want to portray their bust up as pretty justified- Linebeck is a normal person who’s been roped into a crazy situation and for a (short) while decides it’s too much for him. I think taking out the wish makes it so much more delicious and he eventually finds it doesn’t make him feel good to leave this kid behind, fantastical mess or not. anyway I have a comic idea about Ciela and Linebeck arguing over this exact thing but ooooouughh my spoons
