I’m having trouble finishing my tengen and Miguel wips so what do I do…?………..start another wip about Bakugou this time 😔

mmmmm. tired but good day. I woke up around noon I think (god do I love sleeping in) and had some pancakes with raspberries which were quite good. then I worked on an article for one of the websites I’m doing some writing for for a while, then searched my many pinterest boards for the recipes I like making every year for christmas, and some new ones, so I could go grocery shopping. so far at least, I’m going to make Gingerbread men (of course), peppermint shortbread cookies made with red and white dough made to look like candy canes, candy cane chocolate cheesecake bars, made with the hershey’s candy cane chocolate bars which are amazinggg, christmas m&m cookies (classic), and for a new recipe I’m going to try oreo butter kiss cookies, made with oreo cookie butter and cookies and cream hershey kisses. I’ll probably end up making my famous toasted marshmallow cheesecake (I call it mine because I’ve significantly tweaked the recipe and added a bunch of different things) for new years to spread the two cheesecakes out a bit. So I made my list, along with ingredients to make pigs in a blanket as my brother asked me to make them for his work christmas party tomorrow, and ingredients for penne alla vodka for my sister’s christmas party on Saturday. Then I went to the traditional grocery store, because Target has limited selection on certain things, and was able to do most of my shopping there. this sweet older lady stopped me and was like “I’m sorry, I know you don’t work here, but do you have any idea where the bread aisle is?” 😂 it was so cute. Got my stuff from there, then traveled to the conveniently located across the street Target to pick up a few more items, namely the holiday candies needed for the recipes that the grocery store didn’t have. I wasn’t able to get vodka from either store because New York has this weird law that doesn’t allow grocery stores to sell hard liquor, only beer and such, so I’ll still have to get that at some point. While I was walking around I spotted the pastor of the church I went to youth group at in high school, who was there with his whole family, but he didn’t see me and I felt like it would be awkward to go up to him being that I haven’t seen him in years. After the fact though I thought I could’ve mentioned to him that there have been some very preliminary conversations about my family switching churches and possibly coming to his, which is a HUGE deal given that my parents met at their current church which they’ve both been attending for 30+ years, and this is the first time this conversation has even come up. but I guess we’ll see where that ends up. I grabbed a pair of cheap sneakers too because I didn’t pack any and I want to be able to use the treadmill while I’m home (sometime after I finish my finals). Headed home from there and unpacked everything, then chilled for a bit before starting my DV practicum final, the first part of which involved reading the Illinois Domestic Violence Act, which is not terribly brief, so that took a while. Had dinner, tacos with the family, then made the pigs in a blanket, which were super easy to make (mini hot dogs, crescent roll dough, and cheddar cheese cuz we fancy) and they turned out super good, then went back and actually started writing. I got 4 1/2 pages in in about an hour, so that’s a good start. This paper has to be 12-14 pages, so I still have a ways to go, but I remembered that it was said that instead of picking one problem to focus on for each of the two sections, you could do 2 or 3, which is a big help because writing 6-7 pages on one issue was gonna be a bit of a stretch. but I think I have a pretty solid handle on the second part (I started with the second because it’s what I had on my mind at the moment) so I’m pleased with that. Continued to chill for a little while and looked at some info for the job I have an interview for on Monday. the deal apparently is that they do mostly represent kids in abuse/neglect proceedings, which is what I’ve been doing as an intern, but they also have a special litigation unit that does the kind of reform based work I’m more interested in, so if I can get my foot in the door it’ll be a big step forward. Judging from the website, it also looks like they’re going to be hiring multiple people on an entry level, so that’s good to know that we’re not all vying for one spot, and at least strengthens the odds. So that’s good to know. And yeah, chilled out for a bit more before getting ready for bed, and here we are, and I’m tired despite only being awake for slightly more then 12 hours (oh well). Hopefully I can get my schoolwork done soon (I have this 12-14 page paper and another that’s supposed to be around 15 pages) so I can finally relax and enjoy actually being on vacation.
