Regarding “Swedengate”, wait until you find out we always bring our own alcohol when we’re invited to parties or you won’t drink unless someone takes pity on you and gives you ONE drink (usually a beer or a cider).

#it’s just so stupid they really took something that isn’t even a super common thing #and made it out like we’re starving kids???#we eat at home with our own families #and also it is and was common to decide the same day that you were hanging out with your friends #and so ofc the parents hadn’t prepared to feed an extra kid #if you were there for a sleepover or a preplanned hang out it would be different #I can’t remember if this ever happened to me tbh #I remember often declining dinner because I found it awkward to invade on their family time #and I wanted to eat at home with my family #AND I’m a picky eater so it was always a pain eating with someone else’s family having to pretend to enjoy their meal to not insult them #anyway we do not let our children starve #and honestly the Americans taking Offenes at our cultural norms should maybe be quiet considering what happened just a few days ago #to your kids… I’m just saying…#great scott my life is heavy
