Have you written anything about/with evil!Thornclaw?
Funny enough I'm still sitting on an ask that was submitted a couple months ago, where someone requested I do some writing for Villain Thornclaw. I do plan to ACTUALLY write out Thornclaw's Fire Scene at some point-- it's hung up because I'm currently writing the Epilepsy Herb Guide and finishing the bones of Darkstar's Commandment.
(Darkstar's Commandment, btw, keeps getting bigger every time I revise it. But it won't be FULL prose, so much as scene snippets and 'notes' of dialogue and actions... But I hope you guys all still like it)
But I strongly feel that Thornclaw makes a better villain than Ashfur would have. I still do love villainous Ashfur and loved TBC to bits; but Thornclaw...
I see him as deadly serious. Devoted to the well-being of ThunderClan at any cost, and the Three? The prophecy? Somehow he learns about it, and concludes that they're dangerous. StarClan didn't send them, there's nothing that says they're destined to save ThunderClan, and in his eyes? The prophecy of Fire and Tiger from TNP has never stopped being relevant.
Ashfur goes to the blaze as a red herring. It looks like he's about to do something villainous, but reveals... he was worried about his ex-apprentice. He's not some kind of monster. Sure he's still miffed about Squilf dumping him but not murderously so.
Just as he's about to extend a paw to get them all out (probably helping to knock over that tree with Squilf), that's when Thornclaw leaps out of the shadows and kills one of them. Villain Thornclaw doesn't play around-- he is here to get rid of the Three AND the witnesses.
He dies here, being tossed into the fire himself, becoming the impostor later because StarClan accepts him as one of their own.
SO I know that one of the three will also not make it out. At LEAST two deaths, and one permanently scarred by burns.
Because of the nature of the AU, it's pretty tangled up with the Petty Ashfur concept. These are basically two "stray" concepts from the Bonefall Rewrite that just don't fit there, floating around and doing their own thing.
