Being suddenly magically better at sight-reading has made me much more inclined to play piano. Because I’m no longer like, “well, there’s nothing I’ve got practiced up, so there’s nothing that would be fun to play.” I just sight-read a Mozart sonata. It did not sound great, but it was almost at tempo and most of the notes were right and so were some of the dynamics and articulation, even.
