what if I become a single-issue voter but my single issue is high-speed train service (& the associated infrastructure needed for it) between cities in the US
#it takes about 3 hours to go from Chicago to Indianapolis by car#about 1 hour by plane#and like 7 hours by train#and the train only goes eastbound on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays#and it only goes back westbound on Sunday Wednesday and Friday#and it's only one time each of those days#and Chicago and Indianapolis are like major cities in neighboring states#it just feels ridiculous that my options are 'fly' or 'find a way to rent or borrow a car'#and ALSO the time I'm looking at is February#and I just KNOW if I drove there would be some insane scary blizzard#and y'know I haven't been driving as much living in the city#I don't know if I would feel comfortable driving in even a moderate snowstorm for that long#I think I might just not be going to this bachelorette party
