Steven woke up in his apartment and saw Jake still asleep in his bed on the floor.

This tiny apartment was hard when there were three people living in it but they managed.

Marc left early this morning he had a mission once again and would be gone for weeks. Steven wasn't thrilled about it but he knew Marc needed to work.

Steven got up and snuck to the kitchen to get some cereal trying to not wake up Jake.

He sat and read a book while eating before he heard a noise to see Jake was waking up.

"Good morning Jake." Steven said as Jake mumbled and stumbled to the kitchen.

He made his coffee and sat beside Steven.

"Would you like to go out today? We can get some lunch maybe go shopping to get groceries?" Steven asked as Jakeookes up with tired eyes.

"Mmm that'd be nice I suppose." Jake muttered yawning making Steven chuckle.

They were quite opposite. Steven being a ray of sunshine and Jake been the dark side of the moon.

"I'll be more pleasant after my coffee." Jake muttered as Steven smiled.

"I know I've gotten used to it." Steven replied making Jake chuckle.

"Any nightmares last night?" Jake asked as Steven's smile faded.

"N-Not many, just a few." Steven muttered finishing off his cereal and getting up.

Jake chased after him and grabbed onto his wrist.

"Next time you have one wake me up okay?" Jake said as Steven looked up at him.

"I will I promise."

After they'd gotten ready they made their way out of the apartment with what they needed.

They decided to go out for lunch first because Jake knew Steven got hangry.

They sat down in a small Cafe and Jake watched as Steven looked at the menu.

Suddenly a waitress appeared.

"You guys ready to order?" She asked as Jake nodded.

They ordered their food and the waitress left them once again.

"I haven't heard from Marc yet." Steven muttered with worry.

"He will be okay Steven. It happens sometimes when he goes on missions. He's without contact for a while." Jake reassured him as Steven nodded.

They're food arrived and Jake could noticed the waitress stealing a glance at Steven every now and then. Of course Steven hadn't noticed but Jaks always noticed if someone was staring at his Steven.

"You okay? You look tense." Steven muttered finishing off his food at Jake looked up at him.

"I'm alright Steven." Jake replied but Steven knew better.

"What's wrong?" Steven asked making Jake sigh.

"That waitress keeps looking at you and smiling." Jake muttered as Steven looked at him in confusion.

"Why is that bad?" Steven asked as Jake clenched his fist together.

"Nothing, it's not bad don't worry." Jake muttered before he got up and went to the counter to pay leaving Steven alone.

Jake paid and then left suddenly before Steven chased after him.

"Jake wait!" Steven shouted grabbing Jake's arm to pull him back.

"D-Did I do something? I didn't mean to make you angry." Steven whispered with remorse as Jake looked at him softly.

Jake grabbed Steven's arm and pulled him into a well lit alleyway so no one could eavesdrop.

"I don't like when others look at you, like that." Jake muttered not looking at Steven.

"Why?" Steven whispered as Jake grabbed him again and pressed him against the wall bringing his face in close.

"Because I want you to be mine, and I don't want anyone else to have you." Jake said in a low voice as Steven looked at him in shock.

"I think I already am yours Jake. W-Well, I want to be." Steven whispered as Jake looked back with shock, he hadn't thought Steven would ever recuperate his feelings.

Jake leant forward and gently kissed Steven's lips as Steven held onto Jake's jacket.

"I won't let anyone else have you." Jake whispered kissing Steven once more.

"I'm yours Jake."
