Every year my aunt, Officer Riffle, helps coordinate a toy drive for the Edgewood Independent School District located on the Southwest side of San Antonio. Last year we volunteered to help wrap gifts and were in awe of the amount of donations, as well as the organization of distributing them. . When we arrived to help we were given several lists of families, each with the number of children, their gender and their age listed. From there we got to select a toy that would be appropriate for each child, wrap it, and put them all together to be given to them for Christmas. This was a very humbling experience and a joyous one, knowing that all of these children would wake up on Christmas day to gifts under the tree! . All month long we will be collecting NEW & UNWRAPPED TOY donations for the Edgewood ISD Police Department in hopes of bringing happiness to even more families! .
