Hmm Idk if you’ll see this request but you know how Kaito LOVES his mom? (Kai’s s/o) so can you do one where Kin lover her dad (Kai) a littleeeee more than her mom. Like when she’s sad she runs to Kai and hugs him and always bothers him (craves her father’s attention)

He felt all of his body freeze in horror and disgust the moment he felt something launching into his leg.

He went to overhaul the thing right away when he noticed that it was actually his young daughter clinging into him...

That was a close one...

however, his discomfort didn't had vanished.

He still was trying to get used to having a... actual daughter, and unfortunately for him sometimes, he had those flashs, remembering what he has done to Eri, and in those moments he couldn't exactly look at Kin properly...

Not even couting his myshophobia. He loved her in his own way but he didn't even know if the kid was clean or not!

"Kin. Let go off my leg if you wouldn't mind." He said sternly making the kid let go in a instant, but with a sniffle as she rubbed her eyes that were threatening to form tears.

Shit.

"What has gotten to you? Was it someone in the house? I can take care of it." He stared down at the 2 years old girl while she shook her head shyly.

"Then what is it? No one cries over nothing." He said more harshly than he pretended and he saw how Kin had started to tremble.

"...scared." she whispered quietly while she still rubbed her eyes.

"Of what? There's nothing to be scared of-"

"Scared... dada doesn't like me..." she said sadly while finally letting out a sob.

... dammit.

He always did this... every since the moment he got his quirk; hell, even when he was born; he scared people away or just pushed them back woth his actions... sometimes subsconciously.

How many times he caught you having doubts if he really loved you...? He would never forget the day where he accidentally find you crying and letting out all of your sadness alone in a room or the time where you broke down in front of Chrono...

Not even mentioning Kaito on the issue. The kid also had one time that he asked you alone if his father hated him... he felt like a sharp piece of glass had pierced his cold and supposed cruel heart of his.

Same as always... it doesn't matter it was you or his defiants saying this... it pained him somehow to no ends.

Childs are more difficult to understand his behaviour than adults so there was a understatement when both of his kids felt insecure about it...

"Kin." He sighed while pinching between his eyebrows in frustation at himself, before crouching down to be at least looking at his daughter without having a disgusting pain on his neck.

"I'm not even going to ask where that came from... but I can assure you on something, there's literally nothing in this world that I don't cherish more than you two brats or your mother... you three are the only ones that keep my sanity stable."

"Sanity?"

"You don't need to know about that word yet. But I apologize my daughter, is just me that has some... thoughts, that make me act like this... don't ever doubt that I appreciate you. It's simply ridiculous and stupid this thought."

His heart felt at ease at least when he saw the copy of your smile growing on Kin's face at his words... maybe he wasn't a lost cause at all.

A clap of thunder suddenly appeared and was sufficient to hhave a black out on the house, making Kin yelp in fear and cling on her father's chest, nestling between his shirt and jacket.

"Kin. What did I say earlier?" He growled at the sudden contact while his muscles tensed furiously "Its just a thunder for God's sa-" he softened in pity his eyes at seing his daughter trembling like a leaf on him... searching for comfort.

He had never experienced this as a toddler himself... always having to deal with his own problems or even atturing the yelling of his biological parents until he... ended that and ran away... then Pops saved him...

"I guess.. I own this. For being such a idiot project of a father..." he sighed before breathing in slowly to pick his daughter up in his arms.

"Maybe seing your mother would help. Where is she by the way?" He mumbled before gettting surprised at feeling his daughter shooking her head in disaproval.

"I want papa." She fisted the purple feathers while she hugged his neck closer to her whole he only sighed.

"You better apreciate this while it last... this is certainly something that I'm not used to." He started to walk to find Chrono to solve this little problem of the lights before something passed thorough his head.

"Did you even showered today?"

Thankfully the kid had nodded before bringing her little hand at his front, showing three fingers at him. Hee lifted an eyebrow in pure amusement before humming in approval.

"I see. Very well done."

"I did it because I wanted to hug you." She cutely mumbled while nuzzling in his neck.

His heart twisted at the words of his daughter so close to his ear nonetheless... she has picked a lot from you because...

You three always did manage to bring that feeking to his chest over and over again... doesn't matter how much the time flies...
