Billy Taylor (July 24, 1921 – December 28, 2010) was a jazz pianist, composer, broadcaster, and educator. He was the Robert L. Jones Distinguished Professor of Music at East Carolina University and from 1994 was the artistic director for jazz at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in DC. A jazz activist, he sat on the Honorary Founders Board of The Jazz Foundation of America, an organization he started in 1989, with Ann Ruckert, Herb Storfer, and Phoebe Jacobs, to save the homes and the lives of America's elderly jazz and blues musicians, including musicians who survived Hurricane Katrina. He was a jazz educator, who lectured in colleges, served on panels, and traveled worldwide as a jazz ambassador. Hot on the heels of my recent "Eggs… The Whole Truth" article (on the what, why and how-to on consuming eggs as component of a healthy and balanced diet plan, and their dietary benefits), which you could keep reading my blog HERE, I assumed I would certainly share a few of my much-loved quick as well as easy "go-to" egg dishes, that I commonly work up for myself, as well as also consist of in my clients' strategies, as straightforward, healthy and balanced, tasty as well as "waist-line friendly" choices for morning meal, lunch or dinner ... all best for Modellist-ID!
Spicy Tomato as well as Pepper Frittata
Serves 2
Ingredients:
2 whole eggs + 2 egg whites 1 red or yellow pepper 2 large vine tomatoes 1 charitable pinch cayenne pepper/ completely dry chili flakes ½ tsp. cumin Generous pinch of salt as well as pepper Olive oil/ spray oil - for cooking
Directions:
De-seed as well as dice red/ yellow pepper. Slice tomatoes into dices. Lightly oil a fry pan with 1-2 tsp. olive oil or food preparation oil spray. Warmth over tool heat. Smoked Salmon Omelette
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 whole egg 2 egg whites 55g smoked salmon ¼ cup tomato, sliced 1 Tablespoon. fresh sliced dill or 1 tsp. dried dill ½ Tbsp. olive oil Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Whisk eggs, egg whites, dill, salt, pepper (to taste). Pour mixture into a heating oiled heated frying pan set over medium flame, to form a thin layer. Permit to prepare for 2 mins. Lay the smoked salmon and chopped tomato over 1 fifty percent of the omelet. Sprinkle with dill and pepper. Fold up over the various other half of omelette, offer as well as enjoy!
Quick as well as Easy Veggie Omelette or Scramble
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 whole egg + 2 egg whites 1/2 mug cut/ chopped vegetables (e.g. mushrooms, onions, red/ yellow pepper, zucchini) 1 tsp. dried out dill (or other herbs) + Salt and also pepper, to taste Olive oil spray (e.g. Fry light) or 1 tsp. olive oil Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
Lightly sauté veggies in olive oil/ spray oil and established aside. Beat eggs with each other with 1 Tbsp. water, natural herbs, salt as well as pepper. Include in the pan over low warmth, allow to gently prepare. When nearly established, top with vegetables. Adore to warmth with. Remove to plate to serve. Eggs with greens
Serves 1
