I wake up to the alarm I forgot to turn off before bed. I hear groans of disapproval from my boyfriend as I try to find my phone. I find it after a short closed-eye search. His groans of disapproval return louder than before when I turn my bright phone on.
I turn the alarm off and roll over so I'm facing Dom. He wraps his arms around me and I wrap mine around him. "are we gonna leave the bed at all today?" I ask him tiredly. "no," he says simply before burying his face in my shoulder.
My hand reaches up to play with his hair. My fingers rake through the strands of hair. I lay calmly in his arms as my fingers massage his scalp.
He is so still he might be asleep again already. I bring my other hand up and play with his hair with all 10 of my fingers. I smile to myself a little wondering how the hell I got myself a boyfriend let alone the man of my dreams. Eventually, I fall back into a dreamless slumber, my hands still in his hair.
I wake up naturally a few hours later. "are you up?" I whisper to Dom. "yeah" he whispers. "wanna go eat something?" he asks and I nod my head tiredly. We both gather our strength and get out of bed.
We head downstairs. Neither of us want to make anything with how tired we are so we grab whatever is ready to eat and sounds mildly appealing.
We sit down on the couch and turn the tv on. Dom changes the channel to something he likes and we both eat breakfast quietly. If I'm being honest the show is boring but I don't say anything. I just eat my food.
