The Rugrats movie is fucking wild I'm appreciating this so much more as an adult

It's been 80 years since Grandpa Lou slept through Pearl Harbor.

Do you think that the new Rugrats reboot will be able to get away with some of the humor that the old show was able to? For example, I’ve heard some people get upset over the fact that Didi said said that Grandpa Lou “Slept through Pearl Harbor” and he replied by saying that he sounded the alarms as soon as he could. I thought that it was just a quick, if dark, joke. Though would it pass today?

I don't know about that joke specifically, but the reboot already has jokes here and there that only adults would fully get. The first episode has a whole recurring joke about Angelica messing with a dating app on Grandpa Lou's phone and he has to deal with the consequences.

To be frank, most of the questions y’all have about what the show will be like would be answered if y’all just... watched the show. I don’t have special exclusive access to it. Y’all can watch it too.
