Continuing my October reviews.
Daughter of Dr. Jekyll (1957) was added for this October because it was directed by Edgar G. Ulmer who is known for bringing a bit of splash and dash to otherwise below mediocre material. This is no different. It's certainly not a masterpiece, but Ulmer delivers in a few critical scenes that show that the man still cares about this weak and illogical script. John Agar is fine and Gloria Talbott does all of the necessary things for this type of film. Arthur Shields as Dr. Lomas is very good as well. Gloria Talbott is really not my favorite, but recommended for fans of older horror and for Ulmer fans especially.
