In a world that often demands so much from us, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life. But amidst it all, there’s one person who never fails to amaze me - my girlfriend.
I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride whenever I think about her. It’s not just because of her accomplishments or achievements, although those are certainly impressive. What truly sets her apart is her unwavering strength and resilience, even on the days when she’s running low on energy.
Life can throw curveballs at us when we least expect it, leaving us feeling drained and exhausted. But my girlfriend? She faces each challenge head-on, with a determination and grace that leave me in awe. Even when the weight of the world seems too heavy to bear, she somehow manages to lift it with ease.
It’s during these moments, when she’s tired and weary, that her true beauty shines through. It’s in the way she still manages to put others before herself, in the way she never fails to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. She is, without a doubt, one of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
So today, and every day, I want to take a moment to celebrate her – to celebrate her strength, her resilience, and her unwavering love. She is the heart and soul of our relationship, and I am endlessly grateful to have her by my side.
To my incredible girlfriend, thank you for being you. You inspire me in more ways than you’ll ever know, and I am so proud to call you mine.
I was sat on the couch and she just squeezed in and hugged me. Wrapped her arm around my neck and pulled me into her chest. She was so warm and cosy. She smelled so sweet like smoke and flowers. Eventually she relaxed the big hug to just her arm around my shoulders and we sat like that for half and hour, her fingers drumming on my shoulder while we chatted. I’ve never been more aware of my body, I tried to relax, I did relax but all I could think about was how close her face was. How close her lips were. How close her eyes were to mine.
my favourite thing about the back half of Campaign 1 is that the crew of the Per Aspera at that point consists of: Kyana, who has a rare secret bloodline that gives her two souls and a never ending quest to fight evil, VR-LA, the actual chosen one of Mystra and someone who has made bargains with several other mystical beings, and Vhas, who’s divinely favoured by Ysgard, the chosen one of the Githzerai, and has been tasked with united the Githzerai and Githyanki under one sky. And then there’s Dani. A random orphan mechanic from the City of Brass who just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get her hands on a spelljammer.
And the best part? Dani is objectively the most dangerous member of the crew.
