A topic that I'd really like to see in studies because I think the results could help a lot of people is seeing if there's any connection or correlation between plurality and executive function/dysfunction. As in, how do executive dys/function and plurality interact with each other?
We've heard of a couple systems who were able to combat executive dysfunction by utilizing their plurality and internal communication; by having another headmate there to keep them accountable, the fronting headmate(s) found it easier to stay on task and keep focused. There were also other ways this system helped, such as using the teaching method of learning, where one headmate explains what they're studying to another to check and enhance their own understanding of the topic (for example, Icicle explained factorials to Uxie and Mesprit recently, which served as a refresher for her, too). In this way, plurality can help combat executive dysfunction and assist with systems' work and studies on multiple fronts.
On the other side of things, we've found that our dissociation and troubles with the front can have a serious impact on our executive functioning, from getting started on tasks to being able to break up large projects into smaller, more manageable steps. When things like this happen, we often end up stuck, feeling bad and doing nothing all day until someone realizes, hey, have we done a front check recently? Are we sure our body isn't just going on autopilot because no one/not enough headmates are fronting? Are our fronting headmates properly grounded in the body? It's only when we tackle our dissociation that we're able to tackle our executive dysfunction.
It's something to think about, for sure. It's my hope that by spreading awareness of these techniques and problems, more people can identify methods of improving their own lives – but I think it would also be a good idea to get some official studies on this, to put it in the professional sphere and find what techniques tend to work best (especially if the answer to that varies depending on different factors).

A two coloured sailor's fid, late 18th- early 19th century
A fids primary use is for holding open knots and holes in canvas and to open and separate the strands of rope when splicing. Small fids such as this were mainly used for the bolt ropes of sails.

Welcome Home - Domestic metaltango fic
Why is it that I can only make myself write when I've been un-medicated for days? -_-
It started subtly, Jack found. This neighborhood stray cat started showing up at his and Leons' house more and more, making his presence known with a loud meow.
Jack liked animals and knew this behavior from cats. Little thing wanted a proper home now and had chosen him and Leon to move in with.
So one day Jack opened their back door and let the brownish tabby inside. A few cans of tuna later and the cat was sleeping happily in Jacks lap as the ex-soldier channel surfed.
When Leon came home from grocery shopping, he was surprised to see a cat lounging blissfully on the couch.
"Isn't that the cat that been begging for our scraps for the last few weeks?"
"Yeah, decided to let him inside today. Leon, meet Hannibal." Jack smiled as he introduced them.
"Hannibal? As in the serial killer or the Carthaginian general?" Leon asked.
"Eh, either one. I just thought he looked like a 'Hannibal'." Jack shrugged as he helped put things away.
Upon hearing his name called, Hannibal woke up and hopped off the couch and walked up to Leon, winding himself around the mans leg.
"Yup, he likes you. He's marking you as his." Jack chuckled.
Leon could only laugh gently as the fluffy cat looked up at him with those big, cute eyes. He stooped down and gathered Hannibal in his arms, which the former stray allowed without fuss.
"Welcome to the family."
That night the men shared the bed with their new friend, all snuggled together, warm and safe.
