Back into the Pit

Chapter 6: A Special Gift

A few months into living with Twist in the new location they decided to stay, Bendy had noticed there was no merchandise for them besides some posters promoting her episodes.

He couldn’t understand why, however.

The little toon had decided to make one for himself. He had plenty of dolls of himself. Bendy could just salvage some of the broken ones and make his very own Twisty! A very good project idea.

He made sure to keep it a surprise for his friend.

Whenever Twist left for a supply run, he would put together parts of the doll.

He had to admit he had gotten pretty good at sewing, since he had to patch up his clothes and occasionally Twist’s.

A few days later he had managed to catch Twist before she left.

Twist looked down at her little toon friend quizzically. He seemed to be hiding something behind his back. Twist signed.

“What’s the matter? You seem excited.”

Bendy rocked back and forth on his heels, suddenly feeling shy now that he had her attention.

The little toon hoped they would like it.

Taking a deep breath, he presented the doll to her. Twist had to take a moment to process what she was looking at.

A doll, an old Bendy stuffed toy, it looked like he had repurposed it to look like her in the cartoons.

Twist took the doll from his gloved hands, inspecting it. The stiches were perfect. It was made with love and Twist couldn’t help the giddiness she felt.

She crouched down to Bendy’s eye level, he looked worried.

Why would he be worried, it was such a wonderful gift.

Bendy clenched and unclenched his fists, waiting anxiously for any kind of response. Twist liked it right? She was smiling. Well, she’s always smiling, doesn’t mean she was happy.

The demons’ thoughts were interrupted by the sudden weight on the top of his head, right in between his horns.

Looking up, he saw Twist with a wide, positive grin. Her hand resting on his head, giving a few pats.

She liked it! She really liked it!

Bendy, now filled with cheer again, bounced up and down. Twist removed her hand from his head and placed the doll back in his hands momentarily to sign.

“How long did it take to make this?”

Bendy quickly responded,” A few days. I am so happy you like it!”

“I love it.” Twist signed.

Bendy felt his face flush at that sentiment. He tucked one arm behind his back and gently swayed the other at Twist in an “aw shucks” motion.

Twist took the doll back once more to plant a kiss on its head. Though since she couldn’t close her mouth her teeth just brushed it.

The demoness handed the doll back to Bendy.

“I must go now; I’ll be back later. You can stay here and take care of the little Twist, okay?” she signed.

The little devil nodded and gave a thumbs up.

Twist then turned around and left their new hideout, waving a farewell as she left.

Bendy energetically returned the wave, and then shut the door leading out.

The little demon, still filled with pure joy, skipped over to their new nest, and laid down in the middle of it.
