Seerhein in Konstanz (River Rhein in constance), Eckhard Besuden

Every poeple of constance knows, that the bathers and the idlers come to the Seerhein at noon. There was this horse that mused: And if you want my faith, never betray me to the new. The horse didn’t come neither from reality nor from the unreal. It comes from the between. Nowadays artist careers are made with record-price-news, with works of antidecoractive inconsolability, which mourns human abysses, without making them feel no even. Im searching for another possibility. My art often has no cause, I first have to develop my concern. Today I am the horse coming out of the between. It claimes high literary standards, which normally only fiction demands from imagination. Jeder Konstanzer weiß, dass sich die Badenden und Müßiggänger am Seerhein ab Mittag zum Sonnenbad treffen. Da war dieses Pferd, welches in der Sonne sinnierte: „Verlangst du von mir meine Treue, verrat mich niemals an das Neue“. Es kam weder aus der Realität noch aus dem Irrealen, sondern aus dem Dazwischen. Künstlerkarrieren werden heute vor allem mit Rekordpreismeldungen gemacht und mit Werken undekorativer Untröstlichkeit, die den Abgrund des Menschlichen beklagen, ohne ihn auch nur entfernt spürbar zu machen. Ich suche eine andere Möglichkeit. Meine Kunst hat oft keinen inneren Anlass, ich muss mir mein Anliegen erst erarbeiten. Derzeit bin ich das Pferd im Dazwischen. Dessen Beschreibungsgenauigkeit erhebt jenen literarischen Anspruch, den Fiktion sonst nur der Fantasie zuschreibt. www.eckhard-besuden.de

Weisse Tulpen (4 von 5), Eckhard Besuden

Emil Nolde argued that flowers be representative of the life cycle. He was so fascinated by growing, blooming and fading. Only their life cycle of flowers is much faster than ours, therefore it is particularly suitable to paint he thought. I have painted the white tulips (tulips in the garden of my grandma in Duisburg) three times until now - 1997, 2004, 2014 - one for every of my last three decades. But my 50s are worth to paint two because its my most successfull decade. This is the fourth painting and the second of my fifties I think its surreal if you take a look near to the canvas. Emil Nolde war der Auffassung, dass Blumen unseren Lebenszyklus noch am wirklichkeitsnahesten wiederspiegeln. Er war fasziniert von ihrem Wachsen, Bluehen Verwelken. Ihr Lebenszyklus sei viel schneller als unserer, daher waeren sie zum Malen besonders geeignet.. Bisher habe ich die Weissen Tulpen dreimal gemalt 1997, 2004 und 2014 eines fuer jedes Jahrzehnt meines Lebens seit meinem Dreissigern, aber ich dachte mir die fuenfziger sind bis jetzt so erfolgreich, dass zwei Bilder dafür nichts schaden können :). Das hier sind meine fuenfziger Jahre, . Wenn ihr nahe an die Leinwand geht koennt ihr das surreale sehen.
