It has been said that they look suspiciously like THOMAS DOHERTY and if they had to choose a song to describe themselves, they would choose THE ARCHER by TAYLOR SWIFT.

hello and welcome! strap yourself in for a fun ride as we introduce andrej!

alrighty so this kid was born and raised in a small town in the middle of nowhere in norway. he was born a twin ( the younger one ) and he and his brother were pretty inseparable as kids, especially because they were homeschooled and didn’t have anyone but each other

( child abuse tw ) his parents were very very cruel people and treated their children as though they were robots. from a very young age, he was expected to study and learn things that were even university level. getting even just minor things wrong resulted in punishment which ranged from food being taken away to being hit to being locked in the basement ( child abuse tw end )

he was bright and picked things up easily but his parents always saw andrej as the “inferior twin” because he was the youngest and more sensitive than his brother. they only wanted one son and they made that very clear.

when he was 13, his father got a job in america which was when andrej finally learned a small taste of freedom. they were enrolled in school and andrej thrived because he finally had a chance to fill the lonely hole in his heart with people. this placed the first wedge between him and his brother because his brother was more shy and found it difficult to speak to people and ended up being shunned to the side.

his homelife was still hell and he dreaded coming home and would often get himself in trouble so he could get after school detention and remain there longer.

sixteen was when things too a drastic turn for andrej. he was starting to struggle a lot more and was having bad depressive episodes where he sometimes just couldn’t bring himself to do anything.

( drugs tw ) he was invited to a party one night and snuck out so he could go and that was when he was introduced to heroin. it was the first time in his life that he’d ever felt GOOD and things rapidly got out of control for him.

he was using regularly and drinking all the time and his brother was the one who had to protect him and hide what he was doing from their parents. this was the second wedge in their relationship because his brother resented andrej for what he was doing but andrej was too far gone to even notice or care.

then at eighteen years old, andrej finally escaped and ran away from home, leaving everything behind including his brother. he stole some of his parents money to keep him going but spent the next few years permanently inebriated, moving from motel to motel and spending half his nights in the beds of strangers. maybe he was wasting away his life but he didn’t really care because everything he did, he did it to just feel good.

( overdose tw ) his life couldn’t carry on like that forever and at 22 he finally went too far over the edge and overdosed. deep down, he wasn’t even sure if the overdose was actually an accident. for a long time, he had been living not caring if he died because he was miserable and his life just seemed worthless to him. but when he woke up in hospital still alive, this felt like the universe had given him a second chance.

using the last of his money, he checked himself into rehab and decided he was finally going to get clean. in there, he was diagnosed with BPD which was a relief in a way for him because finally the dark things in his head begun making more sense to him.

it wasn’t an easy ride by no means and he relapsed multiple times and would forget to take his medication and the cycle would begin all over again. but once he reached 25 and had managed to remain sober for an entire year, that was when he moved to quiet beachside town moorbrooke to find a place to settle.

he’s lived there for 4 years now and even though he’s not exactly happy, he’s doing okay. this year he decided enroll in the local university to study computer engineering and maybe finally make something of his life.

some fun facts!

he adopted a border collie when he moved to moorbooke who’s named ✨aristotle✨ for very pretentious reasons. andrej adopted him so he wouldn’t feel so lonely and he hoped it would help w his depression bc he’d be forced to get out of bed to take care of him. the two of them wake up at 5am to go on hour long runs because andrej is a psychopath who hates himself

he’s very very bad at keeping jobs. he’d been fired from at least 10 jobs for various reasons which include but are not limited to: talking shit back to rude customers; “accidentally” dropping plates of food on rude customers; fucking co-workers in the staff room; simply just not turning up for work because he “didn’t feel like it”; telling shitty managers exactly what he thinks of them; stealing money from the cashier and claiming the cameras were edited to frame him... the list goes on.

despite this, he’s now working as a barista at delia’s cafe and he’s managed to survive 5 full months with very few incidents ( he’s discovered that swearing at people in norwegian doesn’t get him in trouble as nobody understands him )

he’s had a very difficult time with figuring out his identity as he was never allowed to explore himself and his interests as a kid and because he wasted away his teenage years and early twenties. he doesn’t really know what his interests are yet and his personality constantly switches because he’s unsure how to act but he’s doing his best to figure himself out

when he was younger he struggled a lot with his sexuality too but now he’s just decided fuck labels and if anyone asks he just vaguely waves his hand and mumbles something about being here and queer

he doesn’t even bother trying out relationships though because he knows he’s difficult to be with due to all his issues and his commitment issues are horrendous. he knows if anything got serious then he would just end things and run even if nothing bad had happened

tbh he just doesn’t do monogamy but would probably be v happy in an open polyship where he has lots of people to keep him from being lonely but doesn’t feel too committed

he’s an absolute GENIUS but nobody would ever suspect that considering he acts like he has zero brain cells most of the time. thanks to his parents, he can fluently speak at least six languages and is very well read and knows a lot of random shit

tbh he would be great on a quiz show and would probably end up winning if he tried lmfao

however most importantly of all, he is an absolute computer NERD and gets far too excited over all things computers. he taught himself how to hack too just for fun and *ahem* may do the occasional job for anyone who pays a good price

also he has a sweet tooth mainly because he was never allowed treats as a kid and now he’s discovered sugar he eats far too much of it

What Norwich City can learn from Wolves' Premier League campaign

Norwich’s 2-1 home win over Blackburn Rovers last Saturday sealed their promotion to the Premier League, marking the Canaries’ return to England’s top tier after a desolate three years away.

As the full-time whistle blew at Carrow Road, the deafening cheers from the crowd just about summed up the relief felt from all Norwich fans, players, coaches and hierarchy alike. After two seasons of mediocrity in the Championship, the Canaries were finally returning to the promised land they so proudly called home back in 2016.

Under the management of German Daniel Farke, who became the first foreign head coach in the club’s history at the end of the 16/17 season, the Canaries have gone from strength to strength and adopted a fast-paced, possession-focused brand of football, reminiscent of the Dortmund II side Farke had managed previously.

Despite his first season ending in a disappointing 14th placed finish, Farke’s second has been nothing short of a miracle, with Norwich winning 26 of their 45 games and scoring a whopping 91 goals in the process.

Such a success story paves similarities with the dominance shown by Wolves last term, as they earned promotion from the Championship at somewhat of a canter with four games to spare under Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Portuguese boss has since guided the team to an unbelievable first season in the England’s top division, surpassing all expectations by not only avoiding relegation but challenging for European football.

Before Santo’s appointment, Wanderers were tinkering on the edge of capitulation after a managerial merry-go-round almost ended in disaster with the club sat in the Championship’s relegation zone. Yet, under the 45-year-old’s stewardship, they have transformed into a competitive and credible Premier League outfit occupying 7th position amongst the Premier League’s big hitters.

Whilst reaching the European elite seems unlikely as they’re currently 12 points behind 5th placed Arsenal, Wolves can take much satisfaction from proving their doubters wrong.

It is this resilience and determination that has embodied Wolves as a club, and are the characteristics Santo himself believes are vital in surviving the callous clutches of the Premier League.

Yet, as well as the bravery and brawn on the field, Wolves have shown bags of ambition off it, with Chinese owners Fosun committing huge sums to signing top-quality players since their 2016 takeover.

Amongst these additions are dynamic midfielders Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota. Investing in the midfield areas has paid dividends for Wanderers, as Neves and Jota have been involved in 46% of their 46 Premier League goals this season, scoring 13 and assisting 8 between them.

However, shrewd spending alone isn’t enough for Norwich to prosper in the top flight. This season, Wolves boss Santo has found the perfect tactical balance between creativity and conservativeness, stifling even the highest quality of opposition.

Wolves play with five at the back – this gives their midfield maestros the freedom to roam with extra width, whilst maintaining a solid defensive line.

Wing-backs Matt Doherty and Jonny, with 63 Premier League starts between them, play so high up the field that their challengers are put on the back foot whilst pressure is eased on their own defence.

Such a tactic imposed by Santo has contributed massively to Wolves’ newfound identity as a prudent yet dangerous outfit, and has been effective in preserving their own net as Wolves have conceded the 5th least goals this season, only bettered by Chelsea, Spurs, Man City and Liverpool.

This suggests a similar style of play, paired with quality investment in solid-minded players is the secret to success in England’s top tier, and is something that Norwich will need to emulate to some extent next term – a newfound steeliness to match the incredible attacking football Farke’s inspired at Carrow Road.
