- Carry out database maintenance (Teradata) - Undertake creation and management of ACL - Ensure creation and management of TASM according to requirements and appropriate allocation of resources - Undertake capacity forecasting/space management/purging of data - Define and ensure incorporation of policies for optimal usage of database system - Devise policies to manage the database in an efficient manner, whilst also carrying out the following; stats collection, index rebuilding, partitioning etc. - Ensure auditing and monitoring of database systems Carry out batch job optimization recommendations and implementations Ensure workload management through work assignment and distribution - Identify bad jobs recommendations and implementations for performance optimization - Handle end-to-end TAYS - Ensure data archiving - Undertake management of BAR solution - Adopt industry best practices to get optimize performance. - Ensure accomplishment of batch jobs as per Business SLA - Coordinate with respective team and stakeholders for resolution of issues in timely manner - Deploy new releases, manage workloads and ensure dependencies of jobs - Ensure maintenance and management of Teradata, Landing, COGNOS Server and define alternative path in case of any unforeseen happenings.
