TW: mentions of periods + endometriosis.
Ko-Fi update!
Half price masterlist gifs, fanfic gifs and $2 header gifs.
I am currently on day 16 of the most horrific period of my life, tranexemic acid has not stopped the bleeding and i’m running dangerously low on period products. I currently do not have enough money to buy any at this time.
So! I’ve halved the price of my commissions on kofi in a hope that I can raise some funds + buy extra period products so I do not run out!
I am happy to do any Pedro character and if you have a special request for a character not played by Pedro i’m happy to discuss this with y’all.
some examples of what i’ve made previously under the cut:

Where do we go? (Liam x MC)
A/N: This is sometime in TRR Book 2, so throwback to the good old days of TRR, I miss them sometimes....I know this type of scene has been done over an over again but I think I added my own unique spin on it so I hope you all enjoy!!

Riley paced the balcony of the hotel. The elegant gala that she quickly left, was raging on some floors below. It was a night filled with fake smiles, and imitated banter. She only lasted so long to hold up appearance but upon the sight of the man she loved, held onto another woman, his fiancé, Riley sought refuge at one of the hotel’s wrap-around balconies.
It took everything in her to not claw that blonde she-devil’s eyes out. The way she held onto his arm, leaned into his touch, laughed at the conversations they shared with the other dignitaries. That should be me, she thought, leaning her arms against the stone, looking out at the buildings below.
She heard the heavy footsteps from behind her, taking a glance down towards the approaching feet, noticing the worn brown dress shoes, the distinct smell of whiskey present a moment later. She sighed as she returned her attention back to the view in front of her.
 “Are you okay?”
Riley let out a bitter laugh, “Am I Okay? Sure why not.” She retorted, “Why wouldn’t I be okay? The man I love is engaged to someone else, I’m being forced to endure their engagement tour for the sake of decorum, my name is being dragged through the mud, my life may be threatened because someone doesn’t want me to be queen or to be happy, and to top it all off, I’m pretty sure Maxwell drank his weight in Shirley temples, so I get to deal with a sugar-high drunk Maxwell later this evening. So sure, I’m okay.”
“-Just making sure.” He responded, leaning against the cement rail, bringing his drink to his lips as he stared at her. “You know he doesn’t care for her. Not like he-”
“Stop talking! Please” She stressed, refusing to hear those same words that all of her friends had uttered to her before. She’s been back at court for two weeks, and it seemed that every one of these events always turned out the same. The sight of the perfect couple, sending her reeling and dismissing the event, leaving in a haste, one of her friends trailing after her and trying to console her. It broke Riley every time. She didn’t know if she’d be able to take it much longer, wondering if this was all worth it, “how many more times am I going to have to do this Drake? I don’t know if I can keep it together.”
Drake looked at her, his own heartbreaking as he watched the brave strong woman break down. Drake wasn’t sure how to respond to her. He wasn’t the most comforting person, and all he seemed to muster up was a witty comment. Not appropriate for the situation.
So he just stood beside her, in quiet companionship, placing his hand on her arm, in a fetal attempt at letting her know that he was there for her, at least.
Her tearful hiccups had surpassed, only the tears that she couldn’t seem to control fell down her cheeks.  “you should go back inside Drake, I’ll be fine.  I promise, just need to get my emotions under control.” She mumbled, hugging her arms around herself, taking a moment to look up at his face. Drake watched her, unsure if he should leave her be, Riley just nodded, placing a tiny smile on her face, nodding over towards the door. He complied, giving her arm one more squeeze before turning to leave.
Liam has taken his own moment to step away from the parliament members that vied for his attention. He found refuge on one of the balconies, at first only hearing the sound of the city below. Closing his eyes at the peaceful bliss he had found. Thinking back to the gala, the amount of fake emotions he had to play up, holding onto his fiancé as they participated in conversation after conversation. Madeleine was a natural at duplicity, Liam however found the entire ordeal gruesome and draining.
The peak of his night was seeing the woman he loved, dressed elegantly in the soft blue dress, that brought out the amber flecks in her eyes. Their gazes had met numerous times during the night, sharing a silent conversation, Liam wishing that he could be near her, that she was the one on his arm instead.
His tranquil musing interrupted as he heard a raised voice, around the corner of the balcony. He knew that voice anywhere. Riley. He followed the conversation, he could tell Riley was crying, the shaking of her voice, the tiny hiccups he could only hear from a distance. She was upset. As she came into view, Liam quickly noticed the man standing next to her, Drake.
He could tell that Riley had a difficult time with everything. Even if their shared glances with one another seemed happy, he would continue to watch her afterwards, noticing the smile never quite reaching her eyes, and only letting out small laughs, instead of the normal Riley laugh’s, she had exhibited numerous times during the social season.
He only revealed himself after he watched Drake head back into the hotel. “Riley?” He questioned, noticing her posture stiffen at the sound of his voice, “what’s wrong?”
He immediately winced at his question. He knew what was wrong. There was not much going right for them the past few weeks. Riley thought over her own words as the man, who she loved and he claimed to love her as well, slowly approached her. She thought about that more and more recently. How does she really know if what he says is true, how does she know if he loves her.  The only thing he’s ever told her that’s been true, is how the rules were different here, how he couldn’t play favorites during the social season. But when it came to her, the promises he had made, not one held any merit.
Liam wrapped an arm around her, bringing her closer to his side, trying to alleviate that sadness she was feeling. “Riley, I know that this is difficult for you. I’m sorry you have to deal with it, but we will get through this, we -”
“Have you ever told me the truth?” She lashed, pulling out from his grasp cutting off his words as she rambled off her own. “All of the promises you made me, the night you told me you loved me? That same night when you basically proposed, but chose someone else? Every other night since I’ve returned to court where you’ve said that you’ll always be there, that you only want me, that she means nothing to you? Everything you’ve said has been a lie, how am I supposed to believe anything you say now?”
“I do love you Riley,” He urged, reaching out to her again, only for Riley to brush off his hand.
“This doesn’t feel like love.” She bit back, she felt hurt and broken. This wasn’t the Riley that first came to Cordonia 5 months ago. This Riley feared for her life, she felt like she couldn’t trust anyone, everything inside her ached with hurt. No the old Riley was gone, a shell of a woman replacing her. “I don’t feel like myself anymore. I hate that I let myself get so caught up in the idea of a fairytale, I don’t even recognize me. No one is there for me, no one I can trust- sure I have Maxwell and Hana and Drake, but-they’re not you.”
She had whispered the last part, the tears pouring over even more as she thoroughly broke down. She had no clue how she’d be able to keep a handle on her emotions going forward. Maybe she should just forget this whole thing, this promise of a fairytale, and go back home.
“You could’ve come to me,” he pleaded, trying to convey the sincere heartbreak he was feeling at the sight of her normal bright happy eyes, spilling tears.
“How? You aren’t here anymore, you can’t be,” She muttered, hastily wiping the tears that escaped. She was afraid to look at him. To see the reaction that she feared the most. She was tired of his excuses, I couldn’t choose you because then you’d be a target, I can’t lose you, your safety was threatened, so tired of the excuses. The silence grew between them, the words spoken before settling hard against her mind. It felt as if a weight was resting on her chest, making it hard to breathe. He wasn’t there for her anymore.
Without waiting a further second, she quickly turned around, pushing past him. Knowing full well that she needed to get away. She couldn’t stay any longer, this wasn’t worth it anymore.

the begging is pathetic.
Hello!
Normally something like this would upset me but not today.
It’s just past midnight here which means i’m on day 19 of an excruciatingly painful flare up of endometriosis. I have had a hellish few weeks and I’m not going to apologise for something I have no control over.
Periods products are expensive, and I am changing every 45-60 minutes despite being on medication that’s meant to help reduce the amount i’m bleeding. And while I’m feeling a little embarrassed by the fact i’m struggling to afford the necessities, i’m not ashamed by it.
This is my reality, this is what I’m dealing with and i’d rather admit to struggling, and ask for help, rather than run out of the things that I need.
Also I’m not begging, I am offering commissions. I am offering a service, a few people have bought something and a few people have donated - and i’m beyond grateful for both.
You will not make me feel bad for something I currently have zero control over. Sorry not sorry.
But you will make me share my link again just because f you.

i broke my leg a few weeks ago, and i’ve been having a flare up of my endometriosis which hasn’t been fun at all. my endometriosis has a direct heavy affect on my mental health as well so i’m just struggling in all corners.
i’m so sorry i’ve been a huge let down recently, but i’m still writing and i’ll be back to gif making when i can.
posting my kofi just below w only like 50% embarrassment lol LOVE YALL

hey. so i’ve been a little absent recently, and i thought i’d share why. i’m not doing very well mentally and/or physically. my agoraphobia has been crippling the last few weeks, and i made myself worse by going to an event i was quite frankly too unwell to go to.
my endometriosis has been… hell. to the point where i’m considering a hysterectomy despite it being something i definitely do not want; as i am a person who has wanted to experience pregnancy their entire life. but i’m also a person who’s well aware that you don’t need to give birth to a person to become their mother.
anyway that’s kind of the gist of it. i’m just struggling with the big big big sad right now, but i’m trying to pick myself out of it.
sharing my kofi because it’s been a while and i’m thinking… why not lol

i had a meltdown on the phone today to the gynaecology secretaries and to my GP.
and i just need to vent!
they were both so lovely and so kind when i was sobbing hysterically about how im struggling to cope with my period and how it’s ruining my life, because they’re lasting so long and they’re unbearably painful.
my gp was wonderful and called the gynaecologist specialists at the hospital, i’ve been prescribed another box of norethisterone and told to continue with that and stop the tranexemic acid.
i’ve also been issued another bottle of oral morphine which i’m supposed to take a little less and use codeine between doses which makes me feel a bit better, because this is bottle number 4 of this period and i’m concerned about the amount i’m being prescribed.
Tumblr media
she was so sweet though, i have edited out the parts about my mental health and how im feeling because im struggling big time lol.
i feel listened to but i’m still so frustrated. it means a lot that she’s writing to the secretaries and requesting that my surgery is ASAP because i’ve been waiting for so long.
in the meantime i have my ko-fi commissions open, im not currently working due to my endometriosis and periods are expensive so if anyone wants a personalized header gif for their page - it’s £2!!

The Morning Off (Liam x MC)
Riley walked through the halls of the royal family quarters. Dressed in one of Liam’s tees and her sleep shorts, as she stretched the sleep away from her body. It was a rather peaceful night in the Rys household. One of the first nights that Eleanor had slept through, and was still sleeping into the early morning.
Riley stepped into their kitchen, Liam stood in front of the coffee maker, two mugs sitting in front of him, his eyes glued to his phone. He was in a pair of grey sweat pants along with a white t-shirt. A stark change from the King Liam attire he spent most of his days in. This Liam, was her Liam. She shook her head at the sight, even on a morning where they had nothing planned, Liam still couldn’t pull himself fully away from work.
“I can’t believe Eleanor slept through the whole night. I slept so well that I opened my eyes and had no idea where I was.” Riley leaned against the counter in the kitchen. Liam passes over a cup of coffee to her, placing a kiss to her lips “Good morning to you too.”
She laughed at him, bringing the cup to her lips. “Morning.”
“Hopefully she’ll be as peaceful for the rest of our morning, I checked on her when I woke, she was still sound asleep” bringing his own coffee to his lips as he watched his wife smile back at him.
“Ahh, yes speaking of the morning off.” She gestured to his phone, still capturing his attention. “Is it actually the morning off?”
“I’m just letting a few of the council members know that, unless the country is about to go to war. The king and queen should not be interrupted until the afternoon.”
Riley gave her husband a pointed look, raising her eyebrows.
“I promise I won’t look at my phone for the rest of the morning” Liam held onto her hips, pulling Riley closer to him.
“Mhmm, only if you pinky promise.” She mused, a small grin playing on her face as Riley regarded her husband. Shaking his head with a laugh, he holds out his pinky. “Pinky promise.”

hello! #12 for Liam x Riley, little one prompt. if you have time, thank you very much!
I went back and forth so many times on what I wanted this prompt to focus on. There was the obvious choice of TRR gang throwing Eleanor’s first birthday, but I just didn’t feel like that would provide a compelling story, so I went for something a little different. I hope you like it!!! Thanks for requesting! ❤️

Prompt #12: Little one’s first birthday.
Happy First Birthday Princess Eleanor (Liam x MC)
December 1st 2020, 4:27am. Just a few more minutes Riley thought. She was lying in bed, her husband snoring peacefully beside her. How? She considered. Today was going to be a big day, marking an important milestone in their baby girl’s life. And Riley could not sleep a wink.
Her inner thoughts grappled with one another, she was overjoyed as this day marked one year since her daughter was born, an obvious-happy occasion. But her little baby was growing up fast, too fast, in Riley’s eyes. The past year brought about so many milestones. Her first laugh, her first teeth, Her first wave, her first words, her first steps. The important discoveries and moments that they got to share together- first trips and all the important balls and galas thrown in Little Eleanor’s honor. Some milestones, only the Heir of Cordonia would ever get to experience, the presentation ceremony, her anointment, the Red Apple Gala celebrating her first 100 days. All important, and some not so joyous milestones, getting her released from her first betrothal. Riley chuckled as that thought crossed, hopefully the only one they would have to get her out of.
Yes, Eleanor’s first year was rather eventful, and Riley was proud that even though she and Liam were ruling a kingdom, they were able to witness every wonderful moment of it. It was the one thing she was apprehensive about when they started to talk about expanding their family. Would they actually get to be around and present in their child’s life. Liam made sure of it, it took a bit of finagling some days, but he always made sure that they were there, and together.
Riley took another glance at the clock, 4:33am. Silently, she moved out of bed, taking careful steps to a path she’s journeyed countless times before. Slowly opening the door to Eleanor’s nursery, she stepped in, taking the short walk to the crib, peering over the edge, watching her little Ellie. Tiny snores passed through her lips, one hand clutching to her stuffy -a lion she got from her aunts and uncles- as she slept peacefully.
Even though the baby in front of her had grown and changed so much. Riley still saw the tiny bundle she held for the first time one year ago. Recalling the tiny face that screamed upon taking her first breath into the world. Riley pressing kisses to the wisps of dark brown hair as she held Eleanor against her chest. Watching from the bed as the doctor cleaned up the tiny bundle, wrapping her snug, and placing her back into Riley’s waiting arms. Slate blue eyes attempting to make out the world around her… Yes, Riley remembered it quite well. It was ingrained in her mind. Even though her daughter’s arrival was early and their birth plan was thrown out the window. It was something she hoped to always remember.
Now, little Eleanor’s wisps of hair grew into long dark curly locks. The slate blue eyes growing more vivid in color and identical to her father’s. The once small baby had grown so quickly, now with rolls on her thighs and chubby hands that always reached for her parent’s the instant she saw them. Riley released a contented sigh at the sight of her little princess.
As if she could sense her mother’s presence, Ellie’s eyes began to flutter open, sleepy baby blues regarded her back. Ellie immediately reached up to her. Riley cradling her little one close, as she sat them in the rocking chair. Ellie rested her head on her mother’s shoulder as Riley rocked with her silently, thinking back again to this exact moment one year ago, when she held her for the first time. Tears pricked at her eyes. “Happy Birthday Eleanor, can you believe you are one year old?” Riley whispered, receiving a responding tired coo from her daughter, “I can’t believe it. I feel like just yesterday you were inside mommy’s tummy, and now look at you.” She continued, the tears beginning to fall down her cheeks.
“I know your first year has been rather hectic.” She considered, her fingers tracing tiny circles along her daughters back, eliciting another coo from Ellie, “And we faced many obstacles as a family, but we would go through it all over again, and again, to keep you safe and in our arms.”
Riley rested her head against her daughter’s, Eleanor’s eyes drooping again, as she dozed off. Sleep not reaching Riley at all. She thought ahead to the party that was set for later today. A big hoopla from what she could tell. Her assistant and a team of party planners asked her about details of the event back when Eleanor was only six months old. The heir’s first birthday took too many preparations, and would probably be way over the top. In an attempt to have some control over it, Riley decided on a  winter wONEderland theme. Trying to keep some of her daughter’s upbringing normal, figuring that when she looked back to her first birthday, it would still have a bit of cringe and cheesiness to it.
Though the party planners took the theme a step further. Fake snow was set to be decorated across the Palace gardens, carnival games were to be set up, penguins were supposed to be brought over from the local zoo, a popup ice skating rink situated in the lawn, extravagant food and desserts, and a cake that would be over five feet tall… All for a one year old’s birthday, that she wouldn’t even remember.
“Your party today should be a real treat, and I know it may seem like it’s over the top, but truthfully mommy and daddy would give you the world if we could, so it’s only fitting your first birthday is a smashing hit.” Riley explained to the sleeping baby, not willing to let her out of her arms yet, “I think daddy may have thrown in a few surprises for you that I don’t even know about.”
“You have him wrapped around your little finger,” Riley mulled, continuing to rock the sleeping baby.
“Just like her mother does.” Riley lifted her head, making out the silhouette of her husband at the door. “I didn’t hear her crying” he continued, walking into the room, kneeling down next to his girls.
“She wasn’t, I just- wanted to see her, have her in my arms, as she officially turned one.” Riley admitted. Liam smirked at his wife, his heart filling with love. There were many versions of Riley; strong Riley, who never let anything stop her, Queen Riley who was bright and determined and refined, but Riley as a mother, was his favorite. It made him fall in love with her all over again.
He combed his fingers through her hair, his recollection of Eleanor’s first year forming. The fear he felt of becoming a father, his personal experiences with his own father were stiff and distant, so when he held his daughter for the first time, he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, it easily rivaled that of being a king. Though that fear and pressure ceased soon after, watching the little blue eyes attempt to understand the blurry world around her, the tiny hand that wrapped around his finger. His heart swelled with so much love and happiness, he was truly on cloud nine. She was this tiny little thing, and now she was running around-all over their chambers, babbling off words, no longer the little baby he held 12 months ago. “She’s growing up quickly” He weighted, gently running a hand along Ellie’s back, “makes these moments all the more special”
“Mhm.” Riley’s eyes were closed now, her mind taking in everything. It’s one of those moments. One that she would hold on to for years.
“Why don’t we get this little princess back in her crib and head to bed.” He mused, stirring Riley from her relaxed state, “we’ve already got a long day ahead of us. We should get as much sleep as we can.”
Riley agreed to his reasoning, slowly rising from the rocker, careful not to disturb Eleanor as she placed her in the crib. Taking a few more seconds to regard the infant. A happy sigh releasing from Riley’s lips as she grabbed her husband’s hand and gave it three soft squeezes.
“I love you too.” He whispered, placing an arm around her shoulder leading Riley out of the room and back towards their bedroom.

can I request for prompts with little one #4 & 33 for Liam x MC, Thanks!
Thank you so much for the request!! I had so much fun writing this. It’s truly pure fluff and I love it. 💜 I combined both of these instead of writing two separate fics/drabbles. Hope you don’t mind! Idk how it got to be 1k+ words, i’m sorry.
Apologies if there are any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes, I edit these and then tend to find(and fix) a bunch of mistakes after I post…
Prompts are from here!
4. Being immensely proud when little one takes their first steps alone./33.Waking up to little one crying out in their sleep.
A Royal Family Morning (Liam x MC)
A tiny wail from the baby monitor, interrupted the peaceful trance that the King was in. It took a moment to register his surroundings as he groggily looked at the clock. 5 am. He patiently waited to hear the monitor crackle to life again, hoping Ellie soothed herself back to sleep. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he regarded his wife, as she laid next to him. Hair tousled from their late night activities, blankets cocooned around her small frame. She rested peacefully, a soft snore passing her lip. God he loved her.
“WAHHH-HAAAAAAAA” Liam didn’t even need the baby monitor to hear that cry. Since the royal family was at Applewood Manor for the week, their sleeping arrangements were in closer proximity, and Ellie’s makeshift nursery was right next to their room.
He rolled his way out of bed, grabbing his discarded sweatpants and shirt from the floor to go comfort his baby girl. Eleanor’s cries were continuing as he spotted her sitting up in the crib, big tears filling her blue eyes, and rolling down her cheeks. His throat tightened at the sight, his heart hurting to see his princess so upset.
“Hey Ellie-belly, daddy’s here” He whispered, leaning over to pick up the almost one year old.  Upon hearing her father’s deep voice, Ellie’s cries immediately stopped, reaching her chubby hands towards Liam, and resting her head against his shoulder. Only a few whimpers and hiccups caught, as she began to calm.
Liam sat with her, in one of the comfy chairs sitting in the corner, “What’s wrong princess? Did you have a bad dream?” He soothed, running a hand along her back, as they rested in comfort. Knowing she wouldn’t answer, he continued “it’s okay Eleanor, daddy’s got you now, you’re safe. No more tears.”
Liam heard a gentle sigh leave Ellie’s lips as she stared up at him, gingerly reaching her tiny hand up to his face. He placed a kiss to her palm, a grin on his face, as she settled. Ellie giggled at the scratchy feeling from Liam’s morning stubble, letting out a babbled “Da-da, da-da.”
Liam’s eyes crinkled at the corners, as he rocked her, murmuring to her-at first soothing words, then trying to lull her to sleep describing the plans and events that were scheduled for that afternoon.
Riley watched from the doorway, her heart, warming at the sight in front of her. She had woken from hearing Liam’s one-sided conversation on the baby monitor left in their bedroom, and decided to wake and take part in comforting her daughter as well. After dressing, she made her way to the nursery, but didn’t want to disturb the father-daughter moment in front of her.
“You shouldn’t stare, it’s rude,” Riley heard, her thoughts interrupted as she saw the two pair of blue eyes fall on her. She chuckled at her husband’s comments, taking a step into the room. “I wasn’t staring, just admiring.” She approached kneeling next to the chair, placing a kiss to Ellie’s hair. “What were we talking about?”
“We were just discussing our plans for later today, I was telling Ellie all about the fun and excitement that await her at the start of today’s opening celebration. Though, with her waking up two hours before she normally does, may throw off her nap schedule. I had hoped she’d fall back to sleep.” He explained, wrapping an arm around Riley as she moved to sit on the arm of the chair.
“Why don’t we all go lay in our bed, see if she’ll fall asleep there, and if not, we can just relax in bed until we officially need to be awake for the day.”
“Sounds perfect.” He remarked, adjusting Ellie further on his shoulder as the couple made their way back to their bed. The sun, beginning to peek through the curtains, Eleanor falling asleep between them, as they gazed at one another, sharing loving grins.
After a fairly relaxing morning of playing with Eleanor, drinking coffee and finalizing last minute press details for the annual Apple Harvest festival, Liam and Riley both took turns to dress, while the other watched Eleanor. Riley had taken Ellie to the nursery, to wrangle her, in her own black and white plaid dress, similar to the one she had on. Ellie’s eventful 5 am wakeup being mostly forgotten as the little girl giggled happily at her mother’s funny face, a way that kept her distracted from when Riley attempted to change her.
“Okay, Ellie-girl, let’s go see daddy,” Riley exclaimed, holding onto her daughter’s hands, walking her in between her legs, down the short hallway to the entrance of the manor.
Eleanor babbled happily as she was guided by her mother, taking careful steps. The eleven month old was on the verge of walking, but still required the assistance of her mother.
As they rounded the corner, Ellie’s eyes lit up at the sight of her father, tentatively letting go of one of Riley’s hands as she reached out towards him.
“Come on Ellie, come to Daddy.” Liam kneeled down, his arms outstretched to his baby girl.
Eleanor looked back to Riley, then again to Liam, “Go on Ellie” Riley encouraged, beginning to let go of her daughter’s hand. Eleanor took an uncertain step, wobbling at first, until she realized, she was steady on her feet, and quickly paced forward. Laughing as she reached closer and closer to Liam.
Riley watched and shook in excitement as Eleanor took her first solo steps, trying not to voice it too soon, afraid it would hinder her progress. Liam’s expression mirrored the same, a wide grin spreading on his face, as he regarded his daughter taking her first steps.
Ellie was within her father’s grasp and he immediately lifted her in the air, twirling her around cheering for her, “Ellie you took your first steps, you’re walking baby girl.” Riley joined their embrace, wrapping one hand around Liam, the other running along Ellie’s cheek. “You did it baby girl!”
“Our little baby is walking Liam, she’s growing up too fast,” Riley reflected how quickly her daughter’s first year of life has gone by, though the excitement of Ellie learning and discovering hindered the sadness most of the time. She still couldn’t believe they would be celebrating her first birthday in a few short weeks.
“Yes she is, but we get to watch every moment of it.” Liam leaned in, to place a quick kiss to Riley’s lips, their elated bliss was interrupted, as Eleanor squirmed in Liam’s arms, wanting to be set back down. Placing her back on her feet, Liam watched as his daughter began taking more hastened steps heading off on her own, roaming around the foyer of the manor, her little laugh’s echoing throughout the room.
“Uh-oh, looks like we’re going to have our hand’s full now.” Liam remarked to his wife, chasing after her, his heart full of love and joy, scooping up Ellie. And airplane-d her back towards Riley, Ellie’s laughter roaring louder than before, as the family made their way out to the manor grounds to kick off the festival.

Drunk in Love (Liam x MC)
15 months. It’s been 15 whole months since Riley has been able to have a drink. This wasn’t her choice, well sort of. Eleanor was only 4 months old, and was exclusively nursing, but Riley was tired and sore and just wanted one night where she could have a glass of wine.
And tonight was apparently that night. It was nearing the end of one of palace’s many balls- celebrating some apple discovery or apple variety of old. Riley really couldn’t keep them straight anymore.
Ellie had fallen asleep sometime between the arrival of the third or fourth course, and was now resting in the nursery under the watchful eye of her Uncle Drake, who volunteered just to have some peace and quiet. Liam and Riley did not protest at his eagerness, and were glad to be baby free for a few moments tonight.
It wasn’t until then, that Riley decided on having a drink with her dinner, and perhaps one or two more during dessert. She was baby free for the night, she figured she might as well enjoy it.  She felt the shift in her sobriety by the time quartet began to play the first few notes of a waltz,
Liam leaning over to his wife, his hand outstretched, “My queen, may I have this dance?” She grinned at his words “Of course, my King.”
They began to walk arm in arm, Riley beginning to feel the fog settle. Trying to focus on her feet to ensure she hit every step. They circled around the dance floor, smiling and laughing at one another, Liam pulled Riley close, taking a moment to linger near her ear, whispering “We can take a moment to slip out of here, no one will notice that we are gone.”
“Let’s blow this popsicle stand” She exclaimed, hastily grabbing his hand and leading him out the ballroom and towards the gardens, with only one location in mind. As they approached the entrance to the maze, Riley’s heel caught in the grass, sending her tumbling against Liam.
“I’ve got you, love.” He said wrapping his arm around her waist as they found their way through the maze.
Riley giggled when they reached the middle of the maze, her eyes landing on the swing and immediately broke from Liam’s grasp, making a break for it. Only to stumble again, Damn heels she thought. Taking only a second to remove them from her feet, she climbed up to stand on the swing, rather than taking a seat, and began to sway her movements.
Liam watched his wife, knowing her childish antics were mostly in a result of her recent alcohol intake, at least part of, the other being she was actually this carefree in her normal sober mind.
“Come on Liam!” Riley exclaimed, a sly grin forming as she regarded her husband.  He smirked as he sauntered over to her, slowing her movements as he placed his hands onto the hanging ropes.
“Slow down love, you’re going to hurt yourself.” He remarked, staring up to her, the grin on her face widening as he wrapped his arms around her. “I’m fine.” She mumbled, leaning her hands onto his shoulders, only to propel forward as her balanced fumbled.
The momentum had them both tumbling to the ground, Liam breaking most of the fall. Riley couldn’t contain her snickers as she continued to replay the moment in her head.
“O-oh my god, the look on your face” She snorted, replicating his expression on her own, before tucking her head against his chest . Giggles continuing to shake through her, her stomach hurting, and eyes watering from the hilarity of their fall. Liam joined in, remarking this as one of those moment’s he appreciated most with his wife. Spending the time to just be with one another, smiling, laughing.
Only when their laughter had subsided, and they laid in the damp grass, breath heavy with broad grins plastered to either of their faces. “You are a drunk mess.” He chuckled, tightening his hold on her, placing a kiss to the crown of her head.
Lifting her head, she gave a serious grin, knitting her brows together, as she stared into his mesmerizing ocean eyes “I’m just drunk in love with you.” Placing a kiss to his lips, and turning to rest her head against his shoulder as they stared up through the dark foliage into the inky black sky.

Forgotten Memories (Liam x MC)
A/N: So Hi, I never write anything (this is my first oneshot/fic/ drabble?), so don’t expect this to be a regular thing but I got this idea from a photo from my childhood (I was dressed as a princess), and my MC head canon, kind of has a tragic backstory and I felt like this was a good way to discuss it with Liam. I just want to preface that there isn’t a ton of dialogue, because as I wrote this, I realized how atrocious I was at writing dialogue…..Oh also,  I mention that they have a VCR, and I’m just gonna need you to pretend that those aren’t obsolete anymore, cause otherwise they wouldn’t be able to watch the tape. so yeah…thanks. ok. enjoy. bye. 🙈🙉🙊
Description: MC(I named her Riley because I’m unoriginal) replays an old tape from her childhood, and shares some memories about her past with Liam.
Tumblr media
Riley sat in one of the spare rooms in her and Liam’s quarters. Dozens of boxes scattered the room as the Queen tried to unpack. It seemed comical that after being married to Liam for the past eight months and living in the Palace, she has just found the time to sort through belongings from her past. Though given the renovations on the royal quarters were only recently completed, and then the extended stay in America for the Beaumont/Walker wedding, it really wasn’t a surprise at all.
Most of the boxes went untouched when Riley came to Cordonia over two years ago, and while she still did not have a need for her old Diesel jeans, or black non-slip waitress shoes, sorting through her old life brought up many nostalgic memories. Besides the clothing that took up most of the boxes, there were a few that held mementos of her childhood. An old barbie, that now had tattered clothes, and frizzy hair, it was one of the only dolls that Riley had when she was little, and she carried it everywhere. Holding the doll in her hand, she could recall the time when she was just a child, she’d bring the doll along with her to the park, where she’d find her older brother shooting a basketball, and her neighbors grouped around watching the young children scattered about.
A small smile played on her face as she placed the doll down, and picked up the next object, another memory forming. It was a coffee mug that had a faded floral print and a chip on the rim. While it didn’t seem like an extraordinary object, it held a significant place in Riley’s heart. It was the coffee cup she saw her mother use every day. The same one that would be held in her Mother’s hand as she woke her for school every morning, the floral scent of her mother’s tea rose perfume, reaching her, before she even opened her eyes. Or the same mug that would be clutched in her mother’s grasp as she called for Riley and her brother to come inside, from the balcony of their small one bedroom apartment.
The things that were in these boxes, told more about Riley’s life than any of her accomplishments could, even more than Maxwell’s memoir would.
Riley sat back from sifting through the box, trying to recall her childhood, beyond what these objects were able to bring about, but that was the problem, there weren’t many more. Whether that was because they were insignificant to her, or whether she subconsciously wanted to forget the bad, there weren’t many. But, obviously, her life went on, and while her mother worked tirelessly to provide her with everything her and her brother could want, Riley couldn’t help but be grateful for what had become over her life. Married to a man who loved and adored her, a little baby on the way. Hell, she was Queen of a country, how could she possibly regret anything about how her life turned out. Well maybe one regret, the pixie cut in middle school that had her mocked for months. That may be the only thing she’d change.
Her hand absentmindedly went to her small bump, ghosting gentle circles over where she felt the tiny flutters of the baby’s movement. A happy reminder that her child would have a childhood filled with happy, loving memories, with both of its parents guiding them through life.
Her grin was prevalent as she returned to sorting through the remaining contents of the boxes, mostly old papers and projects from when she was in grade school, a few sports item,-most likely keepsakes from her late-brother, and an old high school sweatshirt that had a faint scent of nauseating axe body spray, most likely owned by an ex-boyfriend that she stole it from and never returned, nor threw away. As she lifted the sweatshirt, she spotted the last item remaining, an old VHS tape. It’s content even more of a surprise, since there were not many photographic memories from her childhood. And she could not remember a time when her small family ever had a video camera. The quizzical look returned when she saw the unmistakable scrawl of her mother’s hand writing on the label: Riley’s 4th B-Day
Checking the time on her phone, she noticed that Liam would be arriving home from his last meeting soon. She closed up the last of the boxes, deciding to take time another day to sort through the remainder of her past life. Exiting the spare room, Riley walked through the hall of the royal family’s quarters, holding onto the VHS tape, glancing up when she heard her husband enter through the front door.
“Hello, my love,” He says, removing his suit jacket, placing it on the chair beside the entrance. Riley smiles at him, noticing his tired appearance. Liam had taken on more work, and scheduled even more meetings for himself, to lessen the load of her schedule, but also lessen the load of what would be expected of them in just a few short months.
Riley greeted him and he leaned down to press a kiss to Riley’s lips, while also placing a hand on her growing bump. She reciprocated wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning into his embrace.
“How was the rest of your afternoon, feeling okay?” He asked, holding her close, relishing in their embrace.
“Yes, it was very productive. I got through some of those old boxes, most of it can be donated, old clothes and what not, but I found some things from my childhood, random mementos that I had held on to, nothing too special but,” Riley explained, and her giddy joy took over as she held up the tape she found, “Look what was hidden at the bottom of one! It’s from my childhood, though I don’t remember much from my fourth birthday, but how amazing, I thought there was nothing left, but this just comes out of nowhere.”
Liam returned his wife’s joy, while he knew some of Riley’s upbringing, it was always a painful remembrance for her to talk through, as she reminisced about her late mother and brother. This provided a glimpse into her forgotten childhood, that she could keep and remember forever.
“I know we have dinner with our friends tonight, but do we have time to watch it now?” Riley questioned, Liam taking a glance at the time on his watch, “I believe so. We should be able to watch this in our room.” They grabbed the tape and headed to their bedroom. Once in the living area of the suite, Liam put the VHS in the player and turned on the TV and when they were both comfortable on the couch, Liam pressed play.
“Ok, my little love, are you ready for your big day,” a light voice asked. “Yes, Mama, I ready to be a pwincess.” A little voice replied, bringing into view a baby faced-Riley.  Liam’s eyes widened as he looked at little Riley dressed up as a princess. The sparkly pink dress with matching crown and glitter wand, were perfect.
“And what is today, Princess Riley?” her mother asked. “My bwirthday!”  The eager little girl shouted, showing off a toothy grin, “And how old are you sweetie?” Riley replied holding up four fingers. “How many is that Riley?” Her mother encouraged.  Riley touched each finger counting out, “One, two, three, four. Four, Mama!”
Just then, a little boy, dressed in his own princely garments, appeared on the screen, standing next to Riley, “ah, and there is Prince Nicholas. Are we ready to start the party then?” The voice asked. The picture began to shake and shift over the small apartment, landing on the scene of the kitchen table where it was set for an extravagant tea party. With the two kids seated at the table, a woman passed in view, sitting next to little Riley. That woman, being Riley’s mother, Rose.
At the sight of her mother, Riley’s breath caught in her throat as she watched intently, everything about this forgotten moment making her that much more emotional. She never thought she’d be able to see her mother, or hear her mother’s voice again, it had been years since she’d passed. Riley had almost forgotten how gentle and even toned it was, it was like listening to a peaceful lullaby.
The scene played out before them, young Riley and Nicholas both taking moments to tell extravagant tales of their “life” in the castle, until Riley’s exclamation that when she grows up, she wants to marry a Prince.
Liam squeezed his wife’s hand at that moment, stealing a glance at her, smiling, as she watched the home video play out. Liam kept his gaze to her, as looks of confusion rolled along Riley’s face. She didn’t remember much about this birthday. Sure, she remembered the pink dress, and the tiara, and of course, the claims of wanting to be an actual princess, but what little four year old girl didn’t dream about being a princess.
Riley didn’t have too many memories from when she was younger, very few stuck, and there weren’t many reminders of what her life was like before she was able to recall moments from her childhood. And the moments she could remember, weren’t always filled with her mother smiling so much, or her brother and her laughing until their faces turned red.
Tears began to prick her eyes, damn hormones, Riley thought, trying to hold back all the emotions she was facing watching the reminders of her fourth birthday. Liam tightened the hold on his wife as he sensed her reaction to the video. The memories carried on before them and Riley was almost lost in nostalgia until a knock sounded through the old recording.
In the video, Riley’s mother gave a confused look, as her children voiced who they thought the unexpected visitor may be. Rose moved out of the camera frame as she went to answer the door, where a new voice was heard.
“Hello Princess!”
Little Riley’s face lit up as she saw the source of the voice, and with a grin exclaimed, “Daddy!” Immediately running out of the camera view to greet him.
Though their joyous reunion was only overheard, the look on her young brother’s face remained, as he rolled his eyes and gave an annoyed huff. Rose, returning a moment later, giving Nicholas a pointed look. Riley could practically hear the tone her mother would use, Play nice Nicholas. It’s your sister’s birthday, it makes her happy.
That’s when the man, that Riley never thought she’d have to see again, stepped into view of the camera. Holding on to his four year old, smiling and laughing. And overall what looked like a blissful moment, only pained Riley to see it even more.
Present Riley immediately tensed, reaching over to grab the remote to turn the TV off. Her breath was heavy, as her heart rate increased. She felt like her world was closing in around her as she reacted to the memories the old VHS tape brought about. Riley’s relationship with her father was a bit troublesome. He was only around occasionally during her childhood, showing up maybe once or twice a year-usually around the summer, and if she was lucky again during her birthday. But the man had disappeared all-together when she was eight years old, only sending a sporadic birthday card or Christmas card, if he remembered. Or at least that’s what she thought. She learned the truth, years later, of what kept his life, his actual, real, day-to-day life from hers in New York.
Riley felt Liam’s hands smooth over her cheeks, not even realizing that her tears were falling harder than before. The tightness in her chest subsiding as she could faintly hear her husband’s whispered words, that tried to calm her down. Take a deep Breathe, Riley. It’s okay, my love. I’m right here. Look at me.
She was able to calm her breathing, realizing her panic wasn’t just affecting her, but the little life inside her. Hesitantly, she lifted her gaze, meeting the bright blue eyes of her husband. They were filled with worry as they began to search her face.
“Hey there, talk to me.” Liam’s thumbs wiped the remaining tears from Riley’s cheeks. She hiccuped at the fetal attempt she made to calm down. “I-I’m fine.” She whispered, fearing her voice would give away the true heartbreak she still felt. She didn’t want Liam to worry, he always worried enough about her. “I just need a moment,” she asked, settling against him as Liam returned the embrace, his hands landing on her bump.
Even eighteen years later, Riley didn’t realize the hurt that she still held onto. How the man who lied to her, and left her, could still continue to break her heart. The memory on the VHS tape wasn’t even a bad one, it actually seemed like a normal jovial moment between her and her father. But maybe that was the issue, of all the memories Riley had with her father, they were always happy. Her second grade graduation where he surprised her with red roses and a trip to an ice cream shop for a giant chocolate sundae, or her sixth birthday where he bought her an American Girl doll and a visit to Manhattan where they ate tiny sandwiches and drank tea.
Yes, the little time she spent with her father was some of the most resounding in her mind, and that broke her heart even more. She couldn’t remember the joyous times with her mother, no shopping trips or grabbing coffees, gossiping over a boy Riley had a crush on, nor could she recall special moments with her older brother, him comforting her over a boy who broke her heart or cheering for her at her high school graduation. No, instead, the materialistic recollections of her absentee father filled her thoughts.
Liam soothingly ran his hand along her back, her head tucked under his chin. Riley was no longer crying, just staring at the space ahead of her. “Do-Do you want to talk about it?” He asked, lowering his gaze to hers.
“It was hard to see them. My mom, my brother.” She paused, shaking her head in a bit of disbelief, “my dad.. it was a bit surreal. I don’t think I’ve ever remembered a time when we were all so happy.” Riley took the time to let it sink in. “I mean, my childhood wasn’t horrible, my mom made sure we never went without, but she worked long hours, and my brother and I shared a cramped bedroom, while my mom slept in the living room. It wasn’t ideal but considering our circumstances, that’s just how it was.”
Liam nodded in understanding, knowing this instance of her life, while it wasn’t a traditional home, it was Riley’s, and he believed that her family’s struggles helped build her into the woman he loved so much. The strong, compassionate, loving, woman.
“But to see my father,” She continued, shaking her head at the thought of him, “My face lit up like someone plugged-in a strand of Christmas lights, I don’t know why I believed that man held the world in his hands, but that’s how I saw him at the time.”
Riley’s voice began to shake near the end, knowing she had to stop. To take a breath, let her husband provide her with a pearl of wisdom that he always could offer to her.
“He was-he is your father, no matter what he decided to do later in your life. I think in the moments he did spend with you, are true and honest to how much he cared for you.” He remarked, not knowing the entirety of Riley’s reality, “Parent’s do crazy things sometimes, some meddle in your life when they think they know what’s best, other’s just leave when they feel like they can’t be their best. And the one’s like your mom, will do everything in their power to make sure that you can become the best.”
He always has a way with words, That was what she needed, Riley knew that Liam always could talk through her jumbled thoughts, to help sort the mess and hurt in her mind, that she couldn’t quite articulate as eloquently.
“Thank you, it helps calm my mind to hear that, and even though I don’t think I can ever forgive him for leaving or for what he did to my mom… thank you.” She tilted her head, capturing his lips. Trying to convey the love she felt for him. He eagerly returned the kiss, only to pull back to rest his forehead against hers, his hand cupping around the side of her neck.
“Anything for you, my love.” He reminded her, placing a kiss to her forehead. Riley leaned into his embrace, wrapping an arm around his neck and she shifted to rest her legs across his lap.
“Can I know what happened? I mean, other than the fact that he disappeared when you were a child, I don’t really know much more about him.- Like what is his name?” He asked, running his thumb along her knuckles. She smirked at his caring nature, feeling herself calm in the hurt she felt towards the man.
“His name is Andrew, Andrew Pierce.” She revealed, sorting through the account of her father’s life “I’ve mentioned before how the last time I saw him was when I was eight years old, but I only discovered the truth about him when I was fifteen, right before my mom passed away.” Riley continued on, to explain how her father had another family in some fly-over state, the traditional white picket fence family, and Rose only discovered the truth when she attempted to serve Andrew with child-support papers. Learning that not only did he not live in New York, he had a wife and child living as a happy family in some upper middle class neighborhood. The nice house, with fancy cars, the extravagant vacations and family parties, while her mother worked 18 hour days, sacrificing time with her kids to make sure they had a roof over their heads and food on the table.
The extravagant gifts that Riley received from her father would be things she would trash later on, knowing how much more he could have provided for her. Not even in materialistic items, but in her school tuition, or school uniforms or lunch cards. Andrew Pierce couldn’t even make sure that his daughter survived on the streets of New York City, his decorum wouldn’t allow for it.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been able to talk about this before. I thought that, that part of my life was over, that it held no baring over who I am right now. But it does, subconsciously, I think that it has always been a motivation to who I am, and who I wanted to become. Thinking that if I was good enough, he would want to be a part of my life.
“No need to apologize, love. I figured whenever you felt ready to share, that you would.”
Liam’s hold on his wife tightened, placing a kiss to her hair, as he heard the recounts of the man who is her father. It easily rivaled and bested his own, surprisingly. He silently wished there was a way he could take away the pain his wife had felt for so many years.
“I wish  I could offer more, but I know that we learn from our parent’s mistakes. I know that as much as I admired my father as a King, I wish to not repeat how he was as a father to me.” Liam remarked, trying to soothe Riley.
“I know Liam, you are going to be an amazing father to our little cub, they couldn’t ask for anyone better. That’s one thing I know for sure, I never have to worry that you will leave our child or that you will pass them along to a nanny just because you can” Riley smiled, picturing Liam holding their little cub, her dark curls with his expressive ocean eyes. Running a hand through his hair she tentatively thought of herself as a parent. As a mom. It terrified her.
“I’m scared,” she paused, “I’m scared that I’m going to turn out like him, that I’m not cut out to be a mom, to be a parent.” Liam’s arm tightened around her, “I don’t believe that for one instant, you care for our baby so much, you are loving and compassionate and strong, and I know you, Riley, you are meant to do whatever you set your mind to. You are not Andrew Pierce, you are Riley Brooks-Rys.”
A smile tugged at her lips as she rested her head against his shoulder, her fear subsiding at his words, “ Thank you Liam, Thank you for being you,” She whispered, “I love you.”
I love you too.”
“And hey, four year old Riley got her wish, she married a Prince- well a King, but same thing.”
Riley laughed at her husband’s antics, a swell of love filling her heart. “Yes she did, and that’s the best thing that’s ever happened to her.”  She remarked, planting a kiss on Liam’s lips.

Zoo Trip (Liam x MC)
“It looks like a beautiful day today, why don’t we head up to the menagerie, and let Ellie see the animals.” Riley suggested, as she stepped out onto the balcony of her duchy’s master bedroom in Valtoria. The sun warmed her face as she closed her eyes. She felt Liam wrap an arm around her torso, hugging her close to his chest as he placed kisses along her neck, “I think that sounds like a wonderful idea.”
Finishing up their early morning on the balcony, they made their way to Eleanor’s nursery. Hearing her coos from the crib, Riley peered over and was greeted with bright blue eyes, wide awake, and tiny toes in her mouth. Riley laughed at her little princess, who contentedly laid, entertaining herself. “Good morning Princess, we’ve got a fun day planned.” Riley reached in for the ten month old, holding her close as she and Liam began to get her ready for the day.
Once the diaper bag was packed, the family made their way over to the duchy’s menagerie, Riley beaming with excitement, finally getting to show her daughter all of the animals that have been rescued over the past few years.
Settling Ellie in the wrap against Riley’s chest, the couple walked hand in hand through the grounds, starting with the prized pair of red pandas-Amethyst and Sapphire, who were lazily bathing in the sun, perking up at the sight of the little baby. Eleanor giggled as the pandas made their way closer, causing mischief with the toys in their pen.
They turned to the next few smaller animals, acclimating Ellie to the sights in front of her before they got to the larger animals further in the grounds. They had stopped in the small bird enclosure, Ellie immediately voiced her objection to it, crying upon hearing the sounds of the bird’s hectic chirping. Switching locations, they moved over to the bugs. This time Liam expressed his objection to the critters, a shiver running through him every time a large multi-legged thing scurried across the tiny windows in the wall.
Ellie’s eye caught attention particularly, to the large floor to ceiling glass, which was pitch black except for the flicker of lights. She marveled at the display, eyes wide as she cheered happily when one of the lightning bugs butted up against the window, showing off the golden flare it produced. “Ooooh, pretty, right Ellie” Riley watched as her daughter uncovered more and more new discoveries that day. “Praa-ee” Ellie mimicked cheerfully, not quite catching the form of the word.
Liam’s tense posture relaxed for just a moment as he watched his wife and daughter interact and giggle at the lightning bug display. The peaceful moment only to be interrupted when a centipede ran along it’s enclosure next to him, causing his jump away from the wall, towards his family, “let’s get back outside, away from- all this” he gestured, ushering his family out to the next animal location. Riley laughed at her husband’s jitters-the man doesn’t think twice at participating in a sword fight, but tiny bugs he could crush with his shoe made his skin crawl, nevertheless, Riley agreed to continue on.
After the success of most of the previous, smaller exhibits, the little family moved towards larger animals, reaching the bigger cats: tigers and lions along with a black jaguar. Taking a moment to pause at each. Ellie’s eyes went wide and she reached out in excitement as the animals moved about in their enclosures.
The black jaguar rose from its rock, taking careful steps closer to the glass barrier that separated the animal from the viewers.
Eleanor kept a grip on her mother, wrapping her tiny arms around her neck, a hand tangling in Riley’s hair as she gripped it in her fingers, cowering away from the view of the jaguar.  “Look Ellie, I think she wants to say hi,” Liam encouraged, trying to soothe his daughter. He demonstrated by waving at the animal, showing the harmlessness. Ellie peaked out from her mother’s shoulder, tentatively eyeing the jaguar, and slowly reaching out a hand, opening and closing her fingers, in her attempt at a wave.
The jaguar moved to paw at the glass barrier, seemingly responding to Eleanor’s gesture. Which caused the little girl to let out a shriek of laughter, pulling away from her mother, which caused the one tiny hand clutching her hair to pull. Riley reeling at the action, “Ouch! Ellie-girl, slow down there.” Liam helped to assist his wife, prying Ellie’s fingers to let go of Riley’s dark locks. He chuckled at the reaction, Eleanor oblivious to her mother’s pain, the sight of the jaguar in front of her much more entertaining.
Rubbing her the spot on her skull, “She didn’t even bat an eye, the girl is Hercules with that pull and just ignores me while I writhe in pain ”  she laughed, as Ellie barely noticed the strength of her pull, as the little girl continued interacting with the animal in front of her.
They concluded their trip shortly after, returning the duchy, and laying Eleanor down for a late afternoon nap. Liam and Riley watched, as she instantly fell asleep, the day’s events clearly wearing her out. “I think the jaguar was her favorite, hands down. We couldn’t pull her away without her crying hysterically” Riley mused, as the couple walked back to their room.
“Agreed, though I think the jaguar was just as smitten with her.” Liam answered, placing his hands on his wife’s shoulders giving them a gentle squeeze. “How about we spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in bed.”
“Mmhm, just relaxing?” Riley hinted, turning to face her husband.
“To start.” He trailed, capturing her lips with his leading her to their bed. Spending the rest of their baby free time, wrapped up in one another.

Best life prompts 17. “Rock paper scissors, winner gets to pick.” Liam x MC
Thank you for requesting!! I took a long time debating what the winner got to ‘pick’ so I pulled inspiration from my own life.  but I really like how it turned out. And I hope you enjoy it!!! ❤️😊
“Living Your Best Life” Prompt List Here - Prompt is bolded in the text below
Negotiation Tactics
“Nuh-uh, no way, you picked the last time!” Riley exclaimed, regarding her husband as they sat across from each other.
“But your choice is horrible. I do not want to spend the time wasting away on that mindless nonsense.” He retorted, folding his arms across his chest, leaning back against the couch regarding his wife.
“Mindless nonsense!?” She screeched, “You made me watch 5 hours of a docu-series called Cordonia’s Castles! That was mindless.”
“But we’ve already watched that damn series. Pick something else.” He tried hoping that he wasn’t going to have to watch another three hours of the horrid hick accent.
“No. I want to finish it.” Riley held her own, mimicking Liam’s posture, folding her arms across her chest. They glared at one another, a smirk began to play at Liam’s lips, as he watched his wife-never truly being able to be mad at her. Riley, on the other hand, was not backing down.
“Rock paper scissors, winner gets to pick.” he suggested. Riley immediately letting out a snort, her former serious façade melting away. “What, what’s so funny about that?”
“The King of Cordonia just suggested rock paper scissors to solve a negotiation,” she snickered, her laughter doubling.
“Well neither of us, is going to back down, so this makes it fair.” He answered, a small chuckle escaping his mouth as he realized the ridiculousness of their conversation. Just this morning he was talking about military spending, and increased funding for the education  department, coming to terms rather quickly with both parties. But deciding on what to watch with his wife, seemed to provide the toughest of his negotiations, mostly due to the woman that was sitting across from him.
“Okay, rock, paper scissors then.” She agreed, stretching out her hand closer to him.
Liam returned the gesture and quickly called out “Rock, Paper, Scissors- Shoot!”- Each scrambling to throw out their hand. Liam’s hand flattened for paper, Riley’s balled up in a rock.
“Wait, no I wasn’t ready! I want a do over!” Riley whined, pouting her bottom lip. Liam didn’t stand a chance at that, knowing he’d quickly concede to his wife. “Fine, once more, but that’s it, the winner- is the winner.”
They both stood, facing another, hands out. This time both calling out, “Rock, Paper, Scissors- Shoot!” Liam again picking his standby, paper, and Riley sticking out two fingers for scissors.
“Aha! I win. I get to pick what we get to watch!” She cheered, shuffling a happy dance. Liam frowned, “No fair, I won the first time. Best two out of three?”
“Nope, no way. I win. Tiger King it is!!” She proclaimed, taking her spot back on the couch, turning the docu-series on. To only be disturbed by her husband as he scooped her up and laid her down on top of him.
“Fine, Tiger King now- your king later.” He growled in her ear. Wrapping his arms around her, as they settled into the craziness of Oklahoma’s backcountry zoo.

Hi there, thanks for requesting!! I’ve been loving this prompt list, it gives me all the feels. I kept the three prompts separate, just for simplicity. They are bolded before each drabble, Hope you enjoy!!!
This is over 2k words, I’m so sorry. Also there is intentional spelling mistakes in Ellie’s dialogue, i attempted toddler talk..not sure if i’ll ever do that again
Prompts are from here (however I am not taking any more request from this list at the moment-currently working on #12, should be up sometime tomorrow night/Wednesday))
My Masterlist
Little One Prompts #2,10,49 (Liam x MC)
2.Shopping for nursery furniture for little one. (so I realized after I wrote this, it’s not necessarily shopping for furniture, but I feel like it came out better than what I could’ve written for that topic anyway so….I hope you enjoy it?)
“I’m not sure I like that. Owls freak me out” Riley admitted as she and Liam flipped through the suggested nursery themes. Liam laughed at her comment wondering its source “Owls freak you out?”
“Yeah, the giant eyes, and their heads can twist to look directly behind them. It’s creepy.”
Again a chuckle escaped him, “alright then, no owls. Cross that off the theme options” Riley continued sorting through the pages, noticing the other options as well, “Actually, take off any animal that can be found in a forest, no baby deer or bunnies or foxes.” She listed off, “ You know, take off all animal options off the table”
“What does that leave us with?” He asked, noticing that the theme suggestions were mostly animals. Riley contemplated, tiring her search of the suggested alternatives, she closed the binder with a thud, settling back into her seat.
“What about stars? The moon and stars, I feel like that’s more appropriate. “ She envisioned the picture of where she was going to lay her little prince or princess to sleep, or to feed, or to rock, starting form in her mind. “Maybe dark grey walls, with a focal point wall of midnight blue that’s filled with dotted stars. And we can decorate it with little moons”
Riley closed her eyes in contempt, continuing to imagine the little baby’s room, feeling the tiny kicks of the baby press against her side. She smiled, reflecting on how all the suns and moons and stars had to align for her to meet Liam that fateful night in New York, and they all brought her here, to this moment, married to the love of her life-with a baby arriving in a couple of months.
“It’s fitting that the heir be surrounded by stars, our meeting was fate, written in the stars, and our baby’s arrival a product of it.” She mulled.
Riley looked over to Liam, who smiled adoringly at his wife, knowing that whatever she suggested, he would be okay with. Feeling a connection to the theme, he never imagined he would be this lucky to marry the woman of his dreams, the love of his life, let alone having a family with her, yes it was definitely written in the stars. Whatever she wanted, he would make it happen. “Sounds perfect.”
With a theme in place, Liam had the palace decorators quickly complete the nursery, mostly painting and adding furniture pieces, figuring he and Riley could spend a few afternoons and evenings adding in the finishing touches of decorations and baby’s clothes and blankets that would be needed. Though Liam was kept in the design process for the little heir’s room, he wanted his wife to be surprised, so when it was finally completed he led her to the door, holding in anticipation and nerves to see if it lived up to his wife’s expectations.
As they stepped into the room, Riley’s hand immediately flew to cover her mouth, a gasp escaping, tears pricking her eyes, she loved everything about the room. The crib was against a wall that was painted a dark blue grey- stars sparkled all over. A mobile of the moon, and sun, and tiny stars, hung from the ceiling. There was a plush rocking chair situated in the corner, the blanket Liam had got for them laid across the back.
Taking a moment to admire the new room, Riley took a seat in the rocker, running a hand along the chair’s arm. Liam looked over expectantly, hoping her reaction was all positive. “Do-Do you like it?” He kneeled to her side placing a hand on her cheek, running his thumb under her eye to wipe a small tear.
“It’s absolutely perfect, Liam” she replied, sitting back in the rocking chair, rubbing her hand along the curve of her bump, feeling the baby’s movements follow along. She smirked as she took another quick glance around “And I think our little cub is going to love it as well.”  Taking his hand and placing it where the baby fluttered exuberantly against her skin.
10.Little one coming to sleep with you after having a bad dream.
The Palace felt cold, and hostile. Two weeks earlier, the royal family had been threatened by a potential terrorist attack. And while it was intervened before any serious damage could occur, it shook their peace of mind. Especially for the little four year old Princess. Ellie had not been able to sleep through most nights without waking up crying, while she didn’t understand the seriousness of the attack, she understood the worry that was in her parent’s expression, and the shift in her normal life routine.
Riley did not want to return to the palace so soon, but she and Liam knew that to present a united front, they would need to, avoiding it only hindering their rule. They returned to their personal quarter’s, but the atmosphere felt different, less homey and more tense.
Eleanor had a difficult time, the first couple of nights she had nightmares of the attempted attack, remembering the rushing of palace guards, as her mother’s arms were wrapped around her. While she didn’t wake up screaming, she woke in a fright, but returned to sleep, wrapping herself in her blanket, clutching her stuffed lion close.
A few nights later is when it was especially bad, Ellie dreamt of her mommy and daddy not being with her, she was alone and trying to hide, and while she couldn’t see the ‘bad guys’ she felt they were watching her. And she had no idea what to do, crying out in her sleep.
Liam woke to Eleanor’s scream and subsequent cries, immediately jumping out of bed, heading to his daughter’s room, fearing the pit in his stomach. Riley trailed behind, her 6 month pregnant belly slowing her down, but worry etched her face upon hearing Ellie’s distraught cries.
Liam had her in his arms, by the time Riley walked into the room. He was soothing a hand down her back, trying to calm his little princess down as her cries shook her tiny body. “Shhh, Ellie. It was just a bad dream.” He whispered, Riley was now sitting next to them, cradling a hand on her baby girl’s head.
Eleanor’s tears subsided as she calmed in her parent’s presence, knowing her nightmare was in fact over and her mommy and daddy were with her. “ I had  a scary drweam” Ellie whispered, glancing up at Liam and Riley through her long lashes.
“Do you want to tell us what happened?” Riley asked, even though she didn’t want Ellie to relive it, she wanted to comfort her daughter, the best way she could. “You n daddy were gone,” Ellie hiccupped, recounting the dream as best as a four year old could. “I was scared, don’t wleave me. pwease” She cried again, burying her face into Liam’s shoulder.
Their heart’s broke at her words, knowing that her nightmare was the result of recent events. “Mommy and daddy won’t leave you, princess. We’ll always be with you” Liam promised, his own voice catching in his throat, truly feeling the weight of the crown at that moment. He cradled his daughter closer to him, whispering comforting words to her.
“Daddy, I don’t wanna sleep alone” Ellie mumbled, as she calmed again. Riley and Liam both agreeing as they brought her back to their room, placing her in the bed as they cocooned around her. Ellie was snuggled in Liam’s arms, as he stared across the pillows over to his wife, tears falling down Riley’s cheek as she thought back to all the struggles of the past couple of weeks.
49.Being unable to stay mad at little one when they give you puppy dog eyes.
Riley was tired. And stressed. And tired. She was seven months into her second pregnancy and while, in appearance, she was glowing, on the inside, she felt horrible. Everything hurt, and all she wanted to do was curl up on the couch, her husband and daughter at her side watching one of the Disney princess movie’s Ellie was obsessed with at the moment.
But instead, Riley was in heels, and a dress that felt too tight, and her daughter running around the mostly empty ballroom, having too much energy then a normal four year old should have two hours past her normal bedtime.
Maxwell had agreed to take Eleanor for a bit, try and get her to run off some energy. While he wasn’t Riley’s first choice to get her daughter calm down, everyone else seemed to be occupied and Riley was desperate.
Finishing up her conversations with the few guests who remained, Riley was joined by her husband, who had just finished a discussion with a European ambassador. “How are you feeling?” He asked, placing a hand on the curve of her bump, feeling the kicks of his baby boy.
“Tired, my feet ache, and little man has been kicking me all evening” Riley grumbled, leaning on Liam’s shoulder, trying to eliminate some of the pains she felt. “Now that the gala has come to a close, why don’t we grab Ellie and unwind with a movie in bed,” he suggested take a moment to glance around the room, in search of his energetic princess, “Where is our little princess?”
“Maxwell volunteered to run off some of her energy,” She mumbled, closing her eyes as Liam massaged his fingers into her back.
Eleanor’s laughter was heard before she was seen as their four year old came running at them, mud evident all over her white shoes and edging the bottom of her dress. “Ellie, what happened? Why are you covered in mud?” Riley fussed at her daughter’s messy appearance, feeling her normally cool façade melt away. Maxwell wasn’t far behind, sporting similar mud stains, Riley piecing it together.
“We jump over the floor, and we no want to land in lava, we land in mud!” The little girl exclaimed, jumping up and down. The plan to calm the little girl obviously had failed. “Lava?” Liam questioned looking from Ellie to Maxwell, hoping the adult responsible could further explain the mess.
“Well, the floor was lava, and we were trapped on top of the stone railings, and it was either land in the fiery pit, or mud. And we chose-” he trailed off, noticing the anger in Riley’s expression, mumbling a  sorry.
“Yea, mama. I sorry too,” Ellie chimed, bowing her head and looking up at her mother through her long lashes. Her baby blue’s filling in with a hint of remorse. Looking exactly like her father when he sought forgiveness from Riley. Riley knew she couldn’t be mad at the little girl, and since she resembled so much of her father, knew that her tension lifted as her eyes met her daughter’s. Something as trivial as a muddy toddler not keeping her mad,  “It’s okay Ellie, mommy’s not mad at you. How about you go with daddy and get cleaned up and ready for bed.” She soothed, taking her daughter into a tight embrace, before placing a kiss to her hair, wishing her off to bed.
Once Liam and Ellie left, Riley turned her attention back to Maxwell, “You!-I do not forgive.” She pointed, brows creased as Maxwell began to cower “What were you thinking, letting the crown princess run around in mud.”
“I-I was just,  the floor was lava! We couldn’t touch it!” He defended. And as much as Riley wanted to argue his childish antics, she couldn’t and simply let out a laugh. “I can’t believe a grown man is using “the floor is lava” as an excuse. Just–next time, try not to end up splashing around in mud.” She laughed, walking off back to her family’s quarters, planning to spend the rest of the evening relaxed, and snuggled with her family.
