On October 2, 2001, Swissair was no more. Because the airline had run out of money, the aircraft had to stay on the ground.

Convair 990-30A-6 Coronado [N990AC] by Alan Wilson Via Flickr: c/n 30-10-05. Built in 1963 as 'OB-OAG-728' for APSA Peru, reregistered as 'OB-R-728' in 1964. In 1972 it became 'N990AC'. Initially stored in Tucson, it moved to Marana in 1973 and was later scrapped. It's nose is now stored in the ARM Scrapyard, Davis Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona. 09-02-2014
