the fact that carla laemmle who was in both phantom of the opera 1925 version and dracula 1931 version lived long enough to both see the creation of twitter AND actively run an account on it for multiple years is insane to me. carla i am so fucking sorry you had to witness that hellsite

Fan Art Friday - Dracula 1931, A.D.
This week's #FanArtFriday features Bram Stoker's Dracula, as Universal Pictures sees him in 1931, and he's raising his cape for one of his actors, Bela Lugosi, on what would've been his 141st birthday. Also, Carl Laemmle's niece, Carla, would've been 114. She played a coach passenger in the film. @universalmonsterstribute

Carla Laemmle, the niece of Universal Pictures founder Carl Laemmle, in the late 1920s. Carla had roles in early horror films like 1925's PHANTOM OF THE OPERA as well as a part in 1931’s DRACULA with Bela Lugosi, where she famously spoke the film's first lines: "Among the rugged peaks that frown down upon the Borgo Pass are found crumbling castles of a bygone age .... " Ms. Laemmle lived to be 104. (Silent and Pre-Code Horror)
