being in the hospital had been a bit touch and go . some days were better than others depending on the pain dakota was in or coming down from whatever ryan had initially been trying to push to robert . eventually , dakota was discharged and free to go home . he had opted to stay with his father for a while before eventually deciding to venture out .

dakota had moved into his new apartment a few days ago and while he had all the intentions in the world of getting his shit together and put away , that didn't exactly happen , at least , not until late that night when he got the sudden urge to be productive . he had music , on low , playing in the background as he attempted to shift things out of the living room but was interrupted up by a knock on his door .

he approached , looking through the peephole before pulling open the door . " hi , " he spoke , glancing around before looking back at the one on the other side of his door . " can i help you ? " @morendodifame

dakota  had  certain  obligations .  it  was  apart  of  the  deal .  dakota  kept  his  end  of  the  bargain  and  that  meant  his  family  stayed  out  of  his  business .  he  did  what  he  was  supposed  to  do .  he  showed  up ,  said  a  few  hallelujahs  and  left  .   “  staring  is  a  little  rude ,  “  dakota  hummed  as  he  pulled  his  tie  off  and  threw  it  into  his  car .  it  was  a  little  ironic  considering  dakota  was  always rude . 

I try to make a point to not go online too much. It's all very para-social and unhealthy whenever I get chronologically online.. but my sisters send me clips of your interviews promoting for Madame Webb and I can't help but laugh at how disinterested you are in everything. And how you just stay deadpan the whole time. I kind of live for it, not going to lie. @dckotajchnson

HE COULD SENSE her fiery looks, everywhere he went. Dakota stared at him from the opposite side of the quad, and he stared back. Their whole routine had started becoming entertaining to him. He was sure he had started provoking her just for the thrill of it. The girl beside him had no idea, but it didn't really matter. During the whole party, he had bought her a beer, planted a kiss on her forehead, and put his arm around her shoulders - that was the perfect recipe to piss Dakota Campbell off. He took another sip of his beer before excusing himself and standing up, walking in her direction. "Something's bugging you or what?" he asked, knowing exactly what she was about to say.

She always liked Dakota’s company, she reminded her of her friends from the socialite circles except Dakota seemed much nicer. She glanced up to the blond with a smile. “Are you going to get anything too? I saw a black dress here that I think is way more you than me.” she pulled the hanger to showcase the skin tight black dress.

“Thank god for you and some good wine,” Harley said to Dakota as she was pouring them both a glass. Olivia had been put down for the night and the two haven’t got caught up in a while so it didn’t take long for Harley to invite her over. “I had a rough day of work so this was much needed,” she said with a sigh before taking a sip and running her fingers through her hair. “How have you been? Get me all caught up.”

“Oh I wouldn’t,” Callista said, stopping the trainee before she could use the machine, “Some students thought it would be hilarious to charm it - curse it might be the more appropriate word - so unless you want to be covered in coffee, I would just go to the kitchens. I was just headed there myself.”

" i mean , you can sit if you like , " dakota pointed out as he motioned to the side opposite of the booth he was sitting in . " unless you just like to hover then please , feel free to continue . " he offered a tight lipped smile before reaching for his coffee mug .

" i don't know , " dakota hummed , " i feel like if it doesn't have three shots of espresso then it's not really a coffee . " dakota paused , " although maybe that's my problem . "

gabriel  wasn't  at  all  surprised  to  hear  that  there  were  hunters  in  town,  they  all  seemed  to  come  in  bunches.  trying  all  at  once  or  not a  at  all.   he  was  vaguely  aware  of  the  dangers  they   posted  to  his  family,  but  he  wasn't  concerned.  they'd  handled  it  before  and  they'd  handle  it  now.  gabe  could  always  be  charming,  welcome  them  into  his  home  town,  befriend  them  even,  charm  them  certainly,  they  never  got  out  regardless.  naturally,  their  friends  or  family  came  looking  for  them,  he  suspected  that  was  what  had  driven  this  particular  set  into  his  midst.

he  recognised  them  immediately,  they  were  like  a  sore  thumb  in  this  town;  evidence  of  their  sleepless  nights  etched  into  their  features,  unkempt  appearances,  on  edge  responses  to  simple  things.  gabe  spotted  one  across  the  bar  and  made  a  quick  call  to  one  of  his  children,  " I  got  one.  " gabriel  made  his  way  over  to  the  bar,  weighing  his  options  here.  " usual,  please,  love,  "  he  instructed  the  bartender,  glancing  to  his  side,  " and  whatever  the  solemn  stranger's  havin'.  "

dakota  had  glanced  down  at  his  watch  after  he  entered  the  bar  .  he  had  some  time  to  kill  before  he  needed  to  get  back  and  naturally ,  he  had  managed  to  find  the  first bar  that  this  town  had  to  offer  .  he  had  sat  down  and  managed  to  order  a  drink  or  two ,  not  bothering  to  offer  much  chit  chat  to  anyone  that  was  around  him .  he was  far  too  tired  to  try  and  be  social  to  offer  pleasantries  but  it  was  the  person  next  to  him  that  decided  to  get  that  started .

his  lips  almost  twitched , “  definitely  sounds  like  an  easy  way  to  be  on  the  next  dateline  nbc  episode , “  dakota  hummed  glancing  in  the  man’s  direction , lips  twitching  a  little  to  appear  less  stand  offish . “  appreciated  though . “

Cheree whined softly as she heard Jay whisper in her ear, head leaning against his for a moment as she leaned back against him, her back pressed against his chest. They didn't get to see each other as often as they liked, with the two of them being in separate companies. Now with her being out recovering from a knee injury, it gave them more time together. "Jamie, please..."She whispered, tilting her head so their eyes met, biting down on her bottom lip lightly. "Please don't tease me... It's been way too long..."
