Don’t talk to me, I’m rewatching Alabasta and realizing Ace was actually observing the Straw-Hats and making sure his little bro was in good hands so he could go fight Blackbeard without worrying for Luffy’s safety. And he only started smiling when he realized that Luffy’s nakama were good people.
