Ranking the IKEA pride Love Seats from worse to best
10. 2 spirit couch
This ranking is less to do with the design itself, and more to do with feeling that IKEA choosing to capitalise off native culture is questionable. Like, capitalising of LGBT people in general was already questionable. But a European company choosing to commodify an aspect of Native culture is just a whole extra level of icky. And as far as I’m aware no Natives were involved in the design process and I doubt any of the profits are going to be used to help queer Natives in any way so yeah… it’s a no from me.
Edit: Okay so first off I didn’t realise these couches weren’t actually for sale (probably should have realised no one was going to buy a loveseat covered in flowers lmao)
Secondly, since there’s some confusion about this: Scott Wabano did NOT design this. They were featured in that promo to share their story as a two spirit person. The designer was Bianca Daniela Nachtman (who I don’t think is native), there’s no indication that Scott worked on the design.
Tbh since these couches aren’t being sold and are just being used for videos for LGBT people to share their stories I don’t really have the same problems with this as I did originally, just questioning the choice in designer now. With that being said, I guess I’d rank this in sixth, above the pride couch but below the gender fluid couch.
9. The Bisexual Couch
When you sit on this couch the demon hands grab you and drag you straight to hell
8. Non Binary Couch
This just looks like a regular coach with some ugly patch work stripes added to it. Next.
7. The Asexual Couch
The design is kinda ugly but at least it looks comfy to sit on. Also this is the one couch that you’re not allowed to fuck on
6. The pride couch
The design is cool but this does not look comfy to sit on
5. The gender fluid couch
Psychedelic! This couch really looks how gender feels
4. The pan couch
That’s one funky patchwork!
3. The lesbian couch
It just looks nice. I like the pattern.
2. The trans gardening couch
This couch makes me feel like I’m visiting my trans grandmother who lives in the country side.
1. The trans rainbow couch
Trans genders stay winning by not only getting two couches for some reason but they’re also the two best ones! This one looks as comfy as marshmallow with the cutest pattern that leaves me feeling sky high!

Neat detail in Squid Game is how Deok-Su’s number is 101 while Mi-nyeo’s number is 212. Each of her indivual digit’s is one above his, almost like she’s always a step above him.
