Thus, only foods that are not harmful to one's health can be considered kosher. Strict observance of kashrut is a must for Jews. They are very selective in the food and dishes for their diet.
Seafood is divided into those conforming to kashrut rules: salmon, red caviar; and those unacceptable: shrimp, mussels, squid, eel, catfish, and black caviar.
Kosher fish, such as salmon, are nurtured in the waters. Only wild fish can be considered organic and natural, as they forage on their own in the wild.
Pacific salmon are born in the purest rivers, a land of fantastic nature surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea. It is home to the largest population of Pacific salmon in the world. There is a fishing plant on the coast where Bering seafood is produced. The catching is done without grossly disrupting the life cycle of the fish, so the salmon from Bering seafood is fully compliant with kashrut requirements.
Tumblr media
The fish are caught as close to the shore as possible - about 400 meters. The catching is carried out when salmon enters the river - when the roe is already mature enough and contains maximum nutrients. The caught fish is delivered on special barges filled with seawater to the factory on the coast. Here the fish and caviar "Bering seafood" is processed, packed, and frozen for further transportation. When manufacturing seafood "Bering seafood" at the enterprise, the use of any chemical additives and preservatives is wholly excluded. The consumer receives only fresh and ecologically pure products.
A short production cycle provides the maximum freshness of raw material: the finished product "Bering seafood" is frozen not more than 4 hours after the catch.
The absence of preservatives even in producing chilled caviar "Bering seafood" is due to innovative packaging solutions.
When exporting the finished products of "Bering seafood," all the necessary norms are observed - red caviar and fish are shipped from the refrigerated chambers under strict temperature control at all stages of transportation.
Kosher salmon and red caviar "Bering seafood" - are the most popular seafood among the Jewish community. Grey Whale Watching Camps in Baja
Baja California, Mexico is one of the best places in the world to watch grey whales in their natural habitat. Every winter, these gentle giants travel more than 5,000 miles from their feeding grounds in the Bering and Chukchi Seas to the warm and shallow waters of Baja California’s lagoons, where they mate, give birth, and nurse their young.
Grey whales are known for their friendly and curious behavior, which makes them the perfect subjects for whale watching tours. However, if you want to have a truly immersive and unforgettable experience with these amazing creatures, you should consider visiting one of the grey whale watching camps in Baja.
These camps are located in remote and pristine areas, far away from the crowds and noise of the cities. They offer a unique opportunity to spend several days in close contact with grey whales, learn about their biology and behavior, and witness their amazing acrobatics and vocalizations.
The most famous grey whale watching camps in Baja are located in three lagoons: Ojo de Liebre (also known as Scammon’s Lagoon), San Ignacio, and Magdalena Bay. All of them are part of the Vizcaino Biosphere Reserve, a protected area that encompasses over 9,800 square miles of desert, mountains, wetlands, and coastal ecosystems.
Each lagoon has its own charm and characteristics, but all of them offer excellent opportunities to observe grey whales in their natural environment. Ojo de Liebre, located in the central part of the reserve, is the largest and most accessible of the three lagoons. It is home to a large number of grey whales, as well as other marine mammals such as sea lions, dolphins, and sea turtles.
San Ignacio, located in the western part of the reserve, is known for its crystal-clear waters and its friendly whales. This lagoon is a favorite spot for mothers and calves, who often approach the boats to interact with humans. Visitors to San Ignacio can also enjoy bird watching, kayaking, and hiking in the surrounding desert.
Magdalena Bay, located in the southern part of the reserve, is the most remote and wild of the three lagoons. Its waters are home to not only grey whales, but also humpback whales, blue whales, orcas, and numerous species of seabirds. Visitors to Magdalena Bay can enjoy fishing, snorkeling, and exploring the mangrove forests and sand dunes that surround the lagoon.
Each grey whale watching camp in Baja has its own facilities and services, but all of them offer comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, knowledgeable guides, and plenty of opportunities to interact with the whales. Visitors can choose between different types of accommodation, from rustic cabins and tents to luxurious yurts and eco-resorts.
Most camps also offer a variety of activities, such as whale watching tours, nature walks, bird watching, stargazing, and cultural tours. Visitors can learn about the history and traditions of the local communities, taste the delicious seafood and Mexican cuisine, and relax in the peaceful and natural surroundings.
If you are planning to visit Baja California and want to experience the magic of grey whale watching, you should definitely consider staying at one of the grey whale watching camps. Not only will you have the chance to witness one of the most amazing natural spectacles on earth, but you will also support the conservation efforts of the local communities and contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

Alaska’s Fisheries Are Collapsing. This Congresswoman Is Taking on the Industry She Says Is to Blame.
Trent Matthews grew up commercial salmon fishing in Southeast Alaska. Ten years ago, he took a job on a trawler operated by US Seafoods, the Alaska Endeavor, which is involved in the Bering Sea groundfish fishery. It was the best money he’d ever made — about $1,000 a day. But after five weeks he quit. Matthews said he was appalled by the waste, particularly halibut, but also crab and…

The Most Potent Natural Antioxidant
Let's talk about astaxanthin. This substance is a natural pigment from the carotenoid family group of xanthophylls produced by plants and animals. One of the leading products in terms of astaxanthin content is salmon fish and its caviar. The content of this substance determines the reddish tint of meat and caviar of representatives of this family. They get astaxanthin by feeding on phytoplankton and algae that contain it in excess.
Tumblr media
To study astaxanthin's influence on the human body, many laboratory studies have been conducted. Scientists proved that astaxanthin has 6000 times more power potential than the well-known antioxidant vitamin C. Compared to coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), astaxanthin is 800 times more powerful than green tea astaxanthin is 500 times more powerful, and alpha-dipoic acid is 75 times more powerful.
The action of astaxanthin on the body is extensive. The compound is unique in that it can interact with both oil and water. It can not only circulate in the bloodstream - the astaxanthin molecule can attach to the cell membrane, which consists of an oil structure, and, as a result, neutralize free radicals in all parts of the body.
Regular consumption of rich foods will favorably affect all vital organs and systems. Numerous studies have shown that astaxanthin benefits the cardiovascular system by lowering the level of C-reactive protein in the blood. This indicator is a marker of the presence of inflammatory processes in the body, depressingly affecting the cardiovascular system. Also, to which astaxanthin belongs, carotenoids help protect vision - they can prevent eye diseases associated with age-related changes. The positive effect of astaxanthin on skin health has also been proven - its elasticity and firmness increase, and wrinkles are reduced.
The presence of redfish and caviar in the diet has a complex positive effect on the body. In addition to the above properties, a beneficial effect on the immune system, anti-inflammatory effect, improved gum health, and even reproductive health has been proven.
Tumblr media
Often, in pursuit of benefits, people buy products that, on the contrary, can harm the body. In the case of salmon fish and red caviar, this happens regularly. Many sources talk about the benefits of these products, and it seems to people that buying a jar of caviar in a nearby supermarket will receive all the benefits that nature has in this product. In most cases, we are offered aquaculture products for purchase - this is a whole industry that specializes in the artificial breeding of fish. Healthy nutrition experts question the benefits of such fish products - feed contains many additives, hormones, dyes, and antibiotics.
Should organize production according to the principle of a complete cycle - fishing, processing, packaging, and freezing should take place at one enterprise. An excellent example of such a manufacturer is the Kamchatka company "Vostochny Bereg (Bering Seafood)." The fish caught here is frozen within 4 hours after being caught. So that the desire to saturate the body with the benefits of organic wild fish does not lead to the opposite effect, it is better to choose products from the manufacturing plant. A vital quality indicator is the absence of products' preservatives or organic additives. Due to this policy, the Vostochny Bereg (Bering Seafood) plant obtained an orthodox kosher certificate. This is the only fishery enterprise in the world with such a document.
Nature has incredible riches in organic, natural products that can bring many benefits to our health. With a competent and attentive attitude to your body and the choice of food, our body will say "thank you" to us, and positive changes will not be long in coming.

About Gulf of Alaska, facts and maps
Tumblr media
The Gulf of Alaska is situated in the northern part of the North Pacific Ocean and bounded on the West by the coast of Alaska Peninsula, and on the north and the East by the coast of Alaska. The gulf serves as the source of a high amount of seasonal rain and snowfall in the southwestern part of the United States and the Pacific Northwest. When huge chunks of glaciers get detached from the coast, they become icebergs that are then carried out to the Pacific Ocean by the strong ocean currents. Gulf of Alaska, broad inlet of the North Pacific on the south coast of Alaska, U.S. Bounded by the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak Island (west) and Cape Spencer (east), it has a surface area of 592,000 square miles (1,533,000 square km).
Tumblr media
How deep is Gulf of Alaska?
Tumblr media
3,000 to 4,000 meters deep To the east of the Aleutian Island chain is the Gulf of Alaska (3,000 to 4,000 meters deep), an ecologically productive part of the northern Pacific Ocean. Why is Gulf of Alaska warm? The western coasts are bathed by the Alaska Current, which carries relatively warm Pacific waters northward and westward along the southern Aleutian Islands. Those warm oceanic waters enter the Bering Sea and then flow eastward along the northern coast of the Aleutians. Why is Alaska so close to Russia? The political separation occurred when the United States purchased Alaska from Russia in 1867 and a new border was drawn between the two islands. During the Cold War, the section of the Bering Straight that passes between the two islands was nicknamed the “Ice Curtain”. Why is Alaskan water so blue? It is so blue because the dense ice of the glacier absorbs every other color of the spectrum except blue — so blue is what we see! Why is Alaska so special? Alaska is known for its wide-open spaces, abundant outdoor experiences, and Alaskan Native culture. Alaska is also one of the best places in the world in which to view the Northern Lights. From the mountains to the sea fjords, and Alaska's vast interior terrain, the 49th state is a photographer's dream. What are 3 things Alaska is famous for? We are famous for the Iditarod, gold mining, sourdough, the Alaska Railroad, aviation, Alaska Native heritage, homesteading, world-class fishing and seafood, outdoor adventures, fresh air, and a slower, more self-sufficient way of life.” Can you swim in the ocean by Alaska? There are plenty of beaches and lakes where people can enjoy swimming, wading and playing in the sand. If you're visiting Alaska, or if you've been living there for a long time, you have a lot to learn about the different outdoor swimming areas that Alaska has to offer. Can you fish in the Gulf of Alaska? Important commercial species in the Gulf of Alaska include: walleye pollock, Pacific cod, flatfish, Pacific ocean perch, and other rockfish species. Wild Alaskan Halibut - A Delicious and Nutritious Seafood
Tumblr media
If you are looking for a seafood that is high in protein and low in fat, then you should consider wild Alaska halibut. Not only does this fish have a delicate flavor, but it also contains the nutrients needed to keep your body functioning at its best. The best part is, it can be purchased in a variety of ways. With a few easy preparations, you can have a delicious meal that is incredibly nutritious.
Halibut is one of the largest flatfish in the world. It is a member of the flounder family, and it is found in waters across the North Pacific Ocean. It can grow to a length of eight feet, and weigh up to 500 pounds. This makes it an excellent source of both omega-3 and -6 fatty acids. Those who eat wild alaskan halibut say that it has a delicious flavor, and it is a popular choice for chefs and home cooks. Moreover, the fish is rich in niacin and selenium.
Pacific halibut is an important target for commercial fishermen. They are primarily fished in the Bering Sea and central Gulf of Alaska, and they are also found in the Aleutian Islands. Nevertheless, these fish are not overfished. According to the International Pacific Halibut Commission, the current stock assessment of the species shows that the fish is not overfished, as well as that the stocks are above the recommended level.
There are three different species of halibut. Each species is known for its distinct characteristics. For instance, Atlantic halibut is large and heavy, while Pacific halibut is lean and flaky. Another characteristic of this fish is that it is a great source of vitamin B12. In fact, one half-filet of the fish provides approximately a third of the dietary needs for several vitamins. At this site, you can get the best wild Alaska halibut.
As a member of the flounder family, halibut lives on the seabed and is able to blend in with its surroundings. These fish are generally found in deep water and prey on other types of fish and crabs. Some of the other species that Pacific halibut eat are rockfish, sablefish, octopus, pollock, and sculpins.
However, most Pacific halibut are harvested before they reach the age of 25. This is because females have the ability to spawn at around the age of twelve, while males are not capable of sexually maturing for up to twenty-five years. Thus, it is important that you choose a fish that has been harvested responsibly.
Pacific halibut are a popular target for sport fishermen. They are commonly caught near Kodiak Island and the western edge of the Gulf of Alaska. However, the fishing industry is working to sustain the fish by utilizing less invasive techniques. To harvest this fish, long lines are set along the seabed. Once the line is set, the fish is pulled in one at a time.
Because of this fishing method, the amount of bycatch is significantly reduced. Furthermore, Pacific halibut has the highest eco-rating of all the seafood varieties. A blue fish label certifies that the fish has been harvested in a sustainable way. You can get more enlightened on this topic by reading here: https://www.encyclopedia.com/plants-and-animals/animals/vertebrate-zoology/salmon.

Berkali-kali hearts abis tapi nge-charge pake practice session.
Plannya nonton sunset tapi awannya tebel banget mataharinya ga keliatan. Hari ini harusnya cerah sih. Pulang ke situ kali ya habis dinner sambil baca buku.
Kemarin berhasil nge-proofread essaynya Tharin buat disubmit ke LPDP. Senang sekali bisa berguna buat orang lain tuh. Apa sekarang ngerjain soal OSP kali ya...
Weekend kemarin ngapain ya…? Hmm nggak ada badminton karena gadapet court, kayanya Iffley di-book for the whole week kata Archu. Bahas persiapan acara 17-an PPI. Minggu beres kelas DD, telponan sama sampah. Terus keluar rumah jam 2pm.
Sesungguhnya cukup content sih sekarang. Mayan deg-degan minggu depan bakal nge-seal tube, tapi yaudah it is what it is.
Dah deh gitu dulu aja. Bersyukur NONNN
