okay but Ali’s friends were gay

Susan and Barbara were definitely gay

20 years later Daniel randomly comes across them and they have a cat and they’re discussing the upcoming dyke march (do they have those in California, I assume so) and they volunteer at the local queer youth centre

they ask Daniel how he’s doing and seem surprised when he says he’s married to a woman named Amanda

“So after Ali, you just... kept on dating girls?” asks Susan while Barbara nudges her pointedly.

“Yes?” says Daniel, confused. “Obviously until I met Amanda. She’s great, we run a car dealership together, we make a hell of a team.”

“Riiiight,” says Susan, as if it all makes sense now. “You’re a great team.”

Barbara nudges her again, they make vague plans to meet up that kinda fall through and Daniel concludes that they still don’t like him much, but that’s okay, because they were always Ali’s friends anyway.

#and then they randomly meet AGAIN after he starts dating Johnny #and when he tells them Susan's like I KNEW IT! I K N E W I T!
