Some doodles of one of my favorite ocs, K. I originally made her as a fallout 4 oc and have recently started crafting up a tma version and this is the result :]

She's a wonderful combo avatar of the desolation and spiral. Her favorite thing to do is get close to/befriend people then destroy their lives in the worst way imaginable, personalized for each person. Occasionally she'll go after full on organizations and those tend to go up in a fiery Blaze. She lives to see the face of Complete utter betrayal upon her victims. Prefures to only use her powers sparingly, finding it much more satisfying do have managed to trick people through pure hard work and manipulation. She is nauseating to the touch and can leave people feeling feverish.

Was at one point on track of nearly becoming an avatar of the web (and spiral) but upon a a run in with another avatar her path switches to what it is now. The idea that her actions and hard work was nothing more than the work of another pulling her along upon strings terrifies her and lead to her fully leaning into the desolation side and burning any strings still attached

mist can often be seen to follow him around

Homelander is an Avatar of the Lonely!

This man was raised as a product and a weapon rather than a human being, coldly denied any form of positive long term human contact in favor of growing him to be the perfect all-American Superhero Celebrity that his corporate masters at Vought wanted to sell.

He both despises his audience for being inferior to him as the most powerful Supe on the planet while also desperately craving their adoration and affection, admitting that the only reason he hasn't gone on a rampage yet is because he craves the world's approval, to the point of killing one of his own agents for lying to him and showing more love for her son than for him.

His desperate need for approval, combined with his hedonistic superiority complex, alienates him from every genuine relationship and connection he could ever have. His patheticness disgusts all three of his father figures and prompt them to completely disown him, while those he's genuinely close to die because of his own selfish actions, from killing his friend Black Noir for lying to him, to Stormfront dying horribly as collateral against him for his atrocities.

It's a running theme with Homelander's character that he desperately wants to stop being abandoned and isolated from everyone around him, but his status as a product under Vought's thumb and his own lack of humanity destroys every chance he gets.

Alternatives:

The Desolation!

Homelander is a sadistic manchild with a hair trigger temper, willing to murder his own teammates at the slightest provocation. His preferred method of murder when prompted is to deep fry people with his heat vision, usually leaving charred corpses for loved ones to find as a threat.

He relishes in the fact that everyone, from his teammates to his agents to his bosses, is absolutely terrified of him and uses his super hearing to gauge how well he's scaring people by monitoring their heartbeat.

The Slaughter!

Homelander actively spreads the fear of terrorism and war to bolster his own platform and appeal to his audience, letting thousands of people die in an airplane hijacking so as to fearmonger the media and push his agenda.

Homelander sold Compound V to terrorists around the globe so as to create supervillains for him to fight, forcing the army to integrate him and his fellow Supes into the military and resulting in countless civilian casualties from superpowered terrorist attacks.

If given the choice, John would definitely go for either the Slaughter or the Desolation, but Lonely is the one that would likely claim him if he existed in TMA, having its mark on him from birth.

God. I know I could easily be and avatar of the lonely, but god. If the desolation was a person, I’d be madly in love, in the most toxic relationship you’ve ever seen. There’s just something so nice about fire. About heat. It’s comfortable, it’s so hopelessly alluring and even when it hurts it draws you closer, feeling cold to your burning nerves. Fire’s such a beautiful thing, is it not? It’s shapes curling around itself, sparking off in all directions. We roast marshmallows, but isn’t it nice to see that sweet burn? To watch it melt off the stick and disintegrate into black ash onto the fire. The sound of fire draws you in. The call of it’s name, it draws people away. Except for the curious, the intrigued, the firemen. Fire crackles, sparks. There’s immediate recognition in that lovely crackling. There’s a reason there’s channels and hours of recordings of fireplaces. There’s beauty in the way fire distorts, no? The edges around the flames shimmer and squirm like a mirage in the hot desert sun. There’s beauty in the blue fire. The hottest bit, but the most desired. The center, the irony of it. Blue, a color associated with chills and snow, lights up the hottest flames.

And just the blinding beauty of heat. We crave it, it’s simply our nature. There’s that creeping thought when you turn on a tap, “What if I turned it just a bit hotter?” You say you hate it, it’s horrid, sweaty, sticky. But as soon as it gets cool, you’re begging for it back. The feeling of a lamp turned on a bit too long and you can feel the heat when you touch the bulb.

It’s been romanticized, and isn’t it easy to see why? There’s something wonderful about feeling the sparks on your back as you kiss your lover beside a campfire. Is there not something that makes a dinner more romantics then one that’s been candle-lit. Do you not crave to kiss your lover while fireworks explode above you?

It’s so easy to say you’re an avatar of the lonely. But really, be honest.
