Session 16 Notes - “Revelations from the Closet” - 8/24/22

-The virus has targeted memories (head), feelings (heart), and caused death (blood)

-Naomi and Cass woke up :) Vivellie…did not :(

-Ezra is making breakfast — doesn’t know where anything is

-Cass is trying to wake us up

-My physical body is asleep but I can’t control it — don’t really want to wake up (sleep paralysis girlies rise up)

-It’s dark, but Viv and Ellie can see each other

-We can hear the alarm going off from the Sunken Place

-A little pin prick of light

-“Oh, no, it’s again” - Cass

-Naomi has never seen such a calm over our faces —> SOMETHING IS VERY WRONG

-Vivellie, wake up….I don’t like this

-Ellie understands that the mousetrap has been set off —> something has fundamentally changed. Proceed with caution

-That’s probably fine

-It was just a little lamb —> VM from Angie

-CASS AND ELLIE BOTH ROLLED NAT 20’S ON A CONTESTED INSIGHT/DECEPTION ROLL

-Angie broke a store window for a florist in the Edge, stole a rose out of the display bouquet

-Violence & Vino — our new true crime podcast (made this up to get information about Angie, including the security footage)

-We bought baby’s breath for Phoebe’s funeral

-I scooped up and kept the bloody shattered glass

-I casted augury to see if we could find Angie —> a vision of Angie and baby Vivellie playing hide and seek in the boudoir : “Don’t worry, I’ll find you.”

-Looking for pictures and trinkets from Phoebe’s apartment. Window open. Mira. Closed the window.

-Cass re: Vytris: “That’s not a real god” —> something happened! There’s something more there!

-Cass proposes the Haruhi Suzumiya theory (believing things will make them true)

-“Maybe it’s more about faith and belief in something. Maybe it’s less about the belief in Techrono, but the ordering of one’s life around Techrono as if it’s a church.”

-AVRIL RESPONDED IN SONOS’ VOICE????

-SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING UP

-Avril’s divine infused residuum (DIR) core is CRACKED?

-Cass dumped Avril’s body :(

-The crack came from the inside out, as if it were channeling something powerful— Avril wouldn’t have been the same anyway

-Something passed through the core, like it was struck by lightning, a homing beacon

-The inclusion in the DIR had cracked the crystal, Cass’ knowledge of arcane ley lines and their influence on tech —> the production and mining of the materials overlaps a swell of arcane ley line power in Woodvale

-The DIR is a fractal of the arcane ley line

-The powers that be tracked Mira’s soul and pinged it like a cell tower —> unclear on what triggered it

-Naomi is driving the car, VE are in the passenger seat, Cass and Watts are the backseat (Avril was too before she was revealed to be an evil spy of some kind)

-Vivellie cannot drive

-Going back to the apartment to talk (we decided to wait until TLS so we didn’t have to use up the Bubble)

-We explained true crime AND podcasts to Naomi on the way to TLS

-Phoebe’s Funeral Program —> “Grief can take many forms and changes often.”

-Naomi has never been to a funeral (??? Growing up in the church???? Never??????????)

-We left the trinkets and photos we found in Phoebe’s memorial room — which will stay in TLS to be called upon as desired

-Everyone is more or less here (All TLS folks, Damien, Hexanna and Heather, Doll, Xane, Sterling, Danny, the robits, Molly— MOLLY

-“The magic here is nearly limitless, which, with my knowledge of magic, is bonkers.” Cass on TLS in general

-I left a magical memory at Phoebe’s memorial —> Us in a session at the Dungeon, but a moment of us “breaking character”/“losing the plot” and just laughing. A moment of joy and intimacy.

-“Dandy is just a guy…or at least he used to be”

-Cass told Ophelia that she favored House Jubilance at the ball because we’re friends…..that’s gossip

-WE PLANE SHIFT TO GO TO THE LAVENDER SOCIETY?!

-Fleur is from the feywild, and has old money fae ties

-Damien’s exhibit is this Friday (RIP)

-Phoebe and Molly grew up together in foster care

-Cass stopped Molly after she left the memorial room

-“I don’t think my life has ever been as complicated or unknown, but I’m being very brave about it.” - Cass

-Vivnomi holding hands

-“It is a demiplane!”

-We went into Dandy’s secret office

-DANDY IS WIGLESS! SNACTHED!

-His “natural” hair is going gray

-He has a skelly head that seems like his assistant named Lucious

-There are so many Dandies (simulacra)

-Dandy and Dr. Cunt wENT TO SCHOOL TOGETHER? Who knows when!

-DR. CUNT IS A DRAGON?

-There are dragons in the Wild Lands???? The rest have assimilated into “human” society a la Dr. Cunt

-Dandy is NOT a lich….but may very well become one!

-“I don’t believe in Gods, but I do believe in the divine.” -Dandy

-Dandy has a bunch of fucking residuum

-Cass was sus due to the effects of the residuum industry on Woodvale, but Dandy seems to be a responsible residuum consumer/user

-The DIR is an unethical method of consumption

-Dandy called the DIR core with Mira’s faith in it “a fucked up soul gem”

“I have never stumbled across what I believe to be what someone might call a god.” Dandy

-God is dead

-Dr. Cunt and Dandy both went to the Aurora Conservatory (very strange that they plus Leah and Vivellie all have the same alma mater)

-A student at AC may have mentioned Vytris…Dandy can’t remember exactly

-Dandy is going to set up a telepathic link
