What do you think of the witches so far?
Momoko's is probably my least favorite? It looks like cow udders, or a bloated corpses' hand... bleh
I really like Rena's witch. I like that she becomes a bird?
Konomi's is also a standout to me. I feel like it'll start... growing. And growing. and growing. And I don't wanna be anywhere near it.
I think my favorite is still Natsuki's though. I mean

Amidst the current Yuu hype (which is only natural considering we´ve been teased for like 4 years now) I want to return to a new mechanic that was released not too long ago: Brand new personal memoria given to us in the Alinas Atelier event.
You´ve probably seen them around before: Ren can burn her HP down to 20% and gain enough MP for an instant Magia, Shizuku carries 50% chance to crit and Natsuki gets permanent MP regen and so on.
Now this opens up a lot of opportunites for older units to gain new power (that and the possibility to go beyond 100 SE). As I was thinking about which units could be next for this treatment I started thinking about possibly the most deserving squad there is: Mikazuki villa.
Aside from maybe Yachiyo who is a beginner friendly mirrors unit they serve very little to no purpose beyond very early play. (For example Tsurunos magia spam evade cheese is outdone by Oriko). So I think those girlies should get the next set of powerful memoria.
Before I get into my ideas of new tools for them girlies I want to talk about Iroha first. Iroha was promoted to a faction leader in arc 2 and all of the faction leaders have aura buffs which provide them and their teammates passive buffs for up to 5 turns. (e.g. Himena providing aqua attack up or Rabi providing damage up and damage cut etc.). Iroha as we all know does not carry an aura buff (the only non 4* unit to actually carry said buffs is Mayabu with damage cut to all).
So I think her new personal memoria should actually be an aura buff for the entire team that works similiar to the SE nodes from other leaders. I was thinking about something like Ailment res up + MP/HP Regen to all as nod to her protective and inspiring personality (plus having a unit provide passive mp to her team will give Iroha some usage for people with limited or no mp batteries).
Now as far as the other girls I´m not sure if they should get selfish effects or be given aura buffs too in an attempt to breath some life into them.
Tsuruno could play into the luck idea. She could give her team something like attack/damage up or damage increase while also giving them chances (like chance to crit or to evade, maybe some anti-evade) for some fun rng. Otherwise I could see her pull up with attack up at full HP and a generous chance to evade similiar to Vampire Nagisa and Chisato.
As for Felicia I could see her gaining a generous amount of damage against witches up since she used to get super focused on witches and going on rampages. Other than that I have no clue what to give her so hit me up with any ideas.
Idk what to with Sana. Should we repeat the Sasara treatment and give her access to a turn of taunt and endor adept (MP when hit)? Honestly I´m just gonna skip this one tho it would be funny if she got some super agressive memoria in homage to her doppel.
Yachiyo is super basic but whether selfish or team wide - give her blast MP. Actually her granting blast mp to her teammates would be funny since all of Mikazuki villa have at least two blast discs. But that would be lowkey busted since it would also stack with pre-existing blast mp.
So yeah that was my unstructed ramble rant about the potential of the new personal memoria for our beloved Mikazuki Squad.
Also please give Hazuki and Ryo permanent MP regen too thankz bye

In this event, You can clear quests on some sort of new special map and by increasing the target magical girl's despair gauge you can obtain a new event limited 4 star Memoria
There's also seems to be some sort of new box gacha for the event where you can obtain Innocent gem fragments and gacha tickets
There also seems to be no new unit announcement for this event

New Event Explanation/Thoughts
Okay so like... free memoria on login. It gives attack up? eh alright, neato
Looks like Touka and Nemu are up to something? Or wittnessing something. idk it could go either way with these two
You can get free memoria specific to these girls! I'm not sure if it's event-only or if they'll work all the time. I'm hoping the latter because the effects are kind of super powerful.
The way it works: The little orbs in colors will give you lots of despair for your despair gauge. Each one will benefit all the girls, but you can prioritize which girl will benefit the most by selecting a node specifically. For example:
Purple tongue battle gives a lot of bonus to Natsuki and Shizuku, a medium amount to Ren, and then not as much to Sasara and Emiri.
These battles down here don't give you any bonus to the despair gauge. Instead, it gives you extra of the shop currency!
which is good. because you can't target what you want from the shop. It's a random gacha-style event reward system, similar to how New Years does it. And the very best stuff is located at the back.
So PREPARE TO GRIND IF YOU WANT THOSE INNOCENT GEM FRAGMENTS!
I'm pleased overall. This gave me massive nostalgia to play. I'm SO glad it's not a fucking tower event lmao. I even avoided using Historia Yachiyo/Devilmura combo and stuck with the event girls just to make it more fun although I'm back to histayachi and akumura for getting materials and stuff
I'm really hoping that the new memoria can be used outside of the event, because they're REALLY good from what I can tell. They're character specific but kind of amazing. I like it-- it's like SE, but you have to sacrifice a memoria slot except not really, because what they get is probably better than anything than you could equip.

Holy fuck-a-roni, these new memoria are kind of insanely good
I don't know if it means you'd always choose to use one of these girls over someone like, say, Historia Yachiyo, but still. These are really nice memoria for them.
I like that it's a buff for the units without resorting to stuff like Spirit Enhancement or Attribute Enhancement.
Ren's is pretty decent and even if you don't want to use the active-- note that it gives ATK instead of DEF. If your Ren has three slots, throw this on and she gets another bonus 2k ATK for absolute free. God damn.

What are your thoughts on the new Alina event? Haven’t seen you talk about it since posting the translation. I’m curious.
I think it was great! It's really nice to have an event that isn't a tower. I also think it's an excellent idea for making old powercrept units into stronger ones.
I'm a little surprised that we didn't get a bare bones gacha that had like... I dunno, a rate up for Ren or something in it at the same time, but it is what it is.
As for the story-- I want to wait a bit to see the final translation in video form, but I had mixed feelings. I like that we finally?????????? GOT CONTEXT??????? ON EMIRI'S WISH????????? Top ten things I've always wanted but never thought we'd get.
I admit though that some of the stories were a little bit disappointing-- Hinano's just goes back to her being tall. I swear that she's had this story before-- "I wish I was tall. man I hurt myself trying to be taller. well I'm still going to try and be tall i will just be safer about it this time." Like she watched two people die, maybe she could have a little bit of angst about that?
The reason I made my Shizuku post earlier was cause I was thinking about her Alina event story and I wasn't very satisfied with it-- it could change depending on how it works in video format I suppose though.
I'm struggling with what to say here cause I'm still behind on Main Story reading (I know, I know), so it's hard to really judge Shizuku's in particular when I've missed the exact execution on how her character was handled in the text beyond what I've heard from others.
But while I'd say that I wasn't satisfied by some of them, I'd also say that I wasn't disappointed either. I think this is a good event and I hope they keep making them with other characters. I dunno if we'll ever see the devs tackle spinoffs but I'm dying to know how they'd fix Kirika's kit in particular.
