The Red Sea crisis comes only a few years after the COVID-19 pandemic when freight rates soared as supply chains snarled and demand for goods jumped. India's small exporters have also since been hit by weakening demand for their goods as Western economies grapple with high inflation levels. "This is one of the worst times for many garment exporters," said Nitin Seth, chief operating officer at Pratibha Syntex, an Indore-based garment manufacturer. "If this situation persists, at least one-fifth of small exporters could resort to job cuts," he said. Other exporters in India's textile industry - which directly employs 45 million people and indirectly another 15 million - said they were worried that they could soon lose business to Turkey's clothing industry. "Turkey, a major competitor for India's textiles exports in Europe, poses a big risk to small exporters due to its locational advantage," said Ajay Sahai, director general of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations.

New Delhi: “Brand is the sum total of how someone perceives a particular organization. Brand is just a perception, and perception will match reality over time. A brand is a voice, and a product is a souvenir,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts at the international convention SOURCEX on Branding India organised by Federation of Indian Exporters Organization, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India at Hotel Leela, Anand Vihar, Delhi.
“A brand for a company is like a reputation for a person. You earn reputation by trying to do hard things well. our brand is a story unfolding across all customer touchpoints. Of all the things that your company owns, brands are far and away the most important and the toughest,” added Dr. Marwah giving examples from his life and narrating how he has build-up the brand of AAFT which could attract students from 145 countries of the World to Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.
The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. A .Sakthivel President FIEO. Mariya of Negotiations X5 Group Russia, Mohammed Sherin Brand Manager Lulu Group UAE, Dr. Rohit Mehtani Consultant IIFT, Vikas Bagaria Founder Pee Safe and Rahul Jain Director Nilkamal also spoke on the occasion. Earlier the convention was inaugurated by Anupriya Patel, Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Session was anchored by Vishvaditya of FIEO, conducted by Dr. Ajay Sahai Director General & CEO FIEO, and Khalid Khan Vice President FIEO presented the vote of thanks.
One Hundred Twenty Indian manufacturers participated to present their products to the International buyers from different parts of the World, attending the convention.

Five-day Training Program for IFS Officers Inaugurated at SMVDU
With a focus on creating a collaborative work environment at the workplace, a five-day training program on ‘Teamwork Competencies for High Performance’ was inaugurated at SMVD University in which 20 IFS officers from different states, including Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim, etc. took part. The program was supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Govt. of India. During the inaugural function, Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Program Coordinator, highlighted the relevance of understanding behaviours which may influence the team performance. Prof. RK Sinha, VC, SMVDU, and chief guest, emphasized the importance of such programs for holistic development. He expressed his concern about saving the environment through sustainable ways. Earlier, Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM, Jammu, and the guest of honour, discussed the way to work to achieve goals by the combination of hard work, passion and synergy. Dr. Supran Kr.
