Anyone gonna explain why the Chainsaw Man intro has a scene from Attack of The Killer Tomatoes?

I’m still curious, to this day, on who decided the plot of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes and just went “wow, that sounds like a great movie, we should make it!”

I just randomly remembered this scene and had to share it.

I catch another lab-coat after he's closed his laptop but before he can escape entirely. Bennett mumbled-last-name only echoes Crystal's sentiments about the local plant life, though he does add a warning not to get too close to them.

What is going on here? Kudzu worse than the stuff down in Selvadorada? Weaponized poison ivy? ...Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?

I didn't notice any strange flora last night... then again, I did kind of have a lot on my mind at the time.

yeah, aotkt isn’t a badly made movie and, in as much as it is a bad movie, it’s a bad movie intentionally as parody

1) Speaking role black actor gets hardly any lines 2) One racist slur wordplay joke, one the-word-rape joke

balanced out by, perfunctorily filmed swimsuit girls talking politics before leaping into the sea from their small catamaran to be gobbled to death by tomatoes; loony-looking yet hardy Olympic medalist getting to bash quite a few tomatoes in protracted battle with them before succumbing, tracksuited; and just overall nothing that really put my hackles up and made them stay there. Not ACTIVELY STELLAR, but they didn’t put a woman anywhere except to risibly subvert some sort of expectation, which is... contextually quite celestial, as films go. 

I’m sure the sequels are just awful; if those ever made it into the house, they didn’t stick around to get re-watched ever.

The first thing I thought of was side...stitch...no!!!!

Charlie hopped into her beat up truck with snacks and a b movie for all b movies in tow. Perks of living in a small town is that places are close. She arrived at Doug's in no time. Viv was probably at work, that girl hardly ever slept it seemed, she worked so hard. She grabbed her things and walked up the familiar driveway to the front door. Knocking, "Open up loser, I brought snacks." she called from the porch.
