Empathy - McCarthy Studio, Arts Month Campaign

The Arts Foundation had to face their struggles, McCarthy designed work hoping to inspire young designers and engage. To let both artists and the wide public interest in the same conversation. This idea of a co-creative, co-interactive design, the public was asked to help with the design – to add personal designs on the composition. They were getting both analogue and digital in their design, the handwritten work was the personal touch point.

Using art-based knowledge and information to show care. Trying to disseminate art-based knowledge into the audience. The highly crafter, constructed images telling a story and the story allows us to have creative, accessible ways to depict the story. The narratives are memorable, more personalised, we are enabled to build connection between the art and the story being told. Tavares starts off by creating clear cuts, mood boards and constructs rough images, showing good visual instruments for the public to see. To have a clear understanding of angles to use and images to construct, it is significant to have a plan.

The editorial topic of this poster is about climate change, everything leans into point-of-view and perspective.

Tyron Ohia, Stone Soup vol.6

Stone Soup syndicate aspires to be a platform the public can trust. The community that felt that they had nothing left, come together with their pots before the syndicate offers them soup. Staying true to their mission statement, by making links back to food and showing importance in helping people.

Alt Group – Te Oro

The purpose was to bring performance, creativity, and art. A highly collaborative nature of a design brings people together and this can result a very personalised artwork.

Sea change wanted to create logos and design that steered away stereotypical designs such as recycling symbols etc.. using humour to show off their campaign – breaking norms in traditional design visuals used for composing.
