Winged!Obi-Wan - Inktense pans & W&N gold ink
The paper is too big for my scanner, and I wanted to capture the shine of the gold (lol I was going to just add some highlights, but whoops...), so here's a GIF instead.

Pre-Beard Knight Kenobi - coloured pencil (greys, whites & blacks from wax and oil based pencils) on black paper
This is the first of a few test runs I'm doing with this medium - I just got some black paper and started this piece this morning. I'm super excited to try out some pieces with low key lighting and see how different colours turn out, too :)
#Obi-Wan Kenobi#fan art#1ben art#okay so this felt like working in reverse#having to draw the highlights rather than the shadows#i'm not unhappy with this first crack tbh so i'm excited to experiment#also a little disappointed that the black paper i got is a bit grey and doesn't have the best tooth but it's not terrible#wax based pencils are a bit more vibrant#but oil based blend SO WELL on this paper like whaaaattttt#this is a mix of 5 different pencil types LOL

I am so incredibly invested in @glimmerglanger's Sanguine series. I don't even know how many times I've re-read it at this point; it's absolutely fantastic.
The idea of Obi-Wan smiling, unabashed and be-fanged, at Cody or Bones or any number of the 212th, just wouldn't leave me alone.
