I’m happily disappointed in myself for not having Gordon be mad at Benry every five seconds like in the og hlvrai. And instead made them fluffy cute crushers which ig get together cool. BUT COME ON! I SHOULD HAVE MADE THEM MORE CHAOTIC!

With Halloween clawing it’s way closer and closer by day, and me wanting to spoil things about 1930sVRAI since it’s over and ppl prob don’t wanna read it (seriously it’s VERY long). I’ve decided to make dark-spooky ish facts about the 1930sVRAI cast (maybe as AU!Tober as you will)

To start off with this fateful night of October 12, let us bring the parallel between Benry(on the right) and Benrey(Bopper, on the right)

(SPOILER TO THE SERIES) The first “Benrey” we are introduced to is actually a possessed Bopper, since Benry is a recent haunting ghost of the casino. Interesting enough right? Well the possessed employee (Bopper) was originally meant to be aware of everything Benry does. Including when he murders 20 people in cold blood (Forzen’s goons), physical self-harm (jumping off balconies, phasing through walls), and even the burns he feels from the last ark fire.

This idea was scratched though since it would have somewhat painted Benry as a villain. Which kinda works in character. But Benry being the focus of being a villain this way didn’t work with the route. Because early on, if the Anons had chosen to actually go with Gordon instead of Benry. He would have been lead down a whole other path. And this one specifically wasn’t the one… Benry may be possessing Bopper currently through the whole series until the end, but Bopper is not aware of it. Benry too isn’t hurting Bopper in any way or form, he makes sure to keep him alive and well (even if he forgets that humans need warmth in their bodies. Hence the grey skin).

Why would a parasite ever try to destroy the very thing keeping it alive?

Today’s a special day- not getting one, but TWO REFS!!! I present... Bubby and Benry!!! Bubbys design was the finest to make- but so was Benry’s. Gonna update Benry’s soon because... well. There’s another twist with him. I know I know- the whole “oh yeah! I was murdered! And am possessing Boppers body!” Wasn’t enough. But hey, my story, my decisions, all of this was on the fly too Y’know?

I didn’t really have a strong plan like the OG hlvrai series... but, ANYWAYS! Hopefully these two come in handy for now. Been hella busy irl. Haven’t gotten to make the stuff I’ve wanted to. (Also I’ve been hooked on video games, which takes up time I should be finishing with the blog) Ngl I don’t think anyone is gonna use these... like at all... but hey! That’s what surprises are for! Sorry for the long read.. signing off for now!

These two are honestly VERY much fun to draw

Just wanted to draw the crew before their “accidents” happened. During a time in their prime y’know?

Bubby especially used to have a bob hairstyle, but would put wigs and stuff on to make his hair longer. But after the attack he got very stressed and became more on edge about everything... Tommy during his prime in his radio business was all and fun. Until fame got to him when a group decided to wreck down their old Radio Tower out of spite. While Benrey... during his prime he managed casino games and had fun messing around with the players, but after his “accident” things all had changed. I won’t say why because that’s some spoilers and no one likes spoilers. But I guess this is a hint for the series.

I was torn between keeping his outfit simple yet not too-boring in a way. Either way the green shirt and dark-blue vest and long cut pants ended up working out perfectly! In the world it makes him pop-out easily aswel. So that’s cools. ((Also for Benrey to in a way keep close to his whole not being human thing. I gave them their own line work color.))

I was originally gonna use this in the main ask blog. But the poster wasn’t the right size >:0 so I’m just leaving it here. It might come up sometime though in the future. Including the many other posters I’m planning to make ;)

Heya everyone! I know there’s not many of you here- but I just wanna say that THANK YOU FOR 105 FOLLOWERS ON THE 1930’s-VRAI BLOG! Each question and answer I make takes a bunch of time when it comes to drawing each scene and keeping it consistent. Be it characters or backgrounds. I kinda thought the blog might be a small flop. But we’re ALMOST fully done with Act/prologue of the series!!! And I am SUPER excited to finishing it. But with that and moving onto act 2. There’s going to be MANY different world-building scenes and characters imported. Which I a willing to do and sacrifice my fingers for. But besides that, I was wondering if you guys have any tips when drawing backgrounds. Especially backgrounds that relate to casinos. Or even fashion styles! I’m open to anything since the only two official characters I have are Gordon and Benrey done. So there’s room for more when it comes to the rest of the cast. Anyways though— would love to hear all of your guys’s opinions!
