i don’t write / participate in any holiday-specific threads, and ships or plots in which there is cheating involved.

trigger warnings will be tagged “trigger //”. if i miss anything, please remind me and i will rectify it promptly. please tag your usfw and jumpscares !

i do enjoy plot heavy threads the most. but, that mostly means the more we actively discuss things, the more i can understand how to move forward and the more invested i get. that’s not to say i can’t do one liners or don’t enjoy the random scenes we want to try, but it’s a primary preference to discuss plots at some length. also, it helps me get to know you as a writer and what you prefer as well!

romantic shipping isn’t always guaranteed. meaning, i would like to be taken out to dinner first. meaning, discussion before we ship is preferred, so we can see if we also have good writing chemistry. there may be exceptions, such as if two characters have history / canonically romantically attached, but still having a little discussion won’t hurt! in addition, many of my characters are written as demiromantic / aromantic. so, at these times, heavy plotting or platonic ships are best suited.

i’ll be limiting shipping to 3-4 romantic ships per shippable character. this is purely in the interest of cultivating unique dynamics / threads without recycling. plotting is required to consider our ships as established. you will find each character’s status in their bio.

Fandoms: I've written for Avatar: The Last Airbender, Legend of Korra, Miraculous Ladybug, Fairy Tail, Tales of Arcadia, Teen Wolf, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Space Boy, Familiar of Zero, Wolf Children, The Dragon Prince, Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and Yona of the Dawn. Most popular multi-chapter fic: If you count the whole series, then we all want love/we all want honor by a long shot. If not, Between the Idea and the Reality. (My most popular non-ATLA fic, btw, is Times Are Changing.)

Most popular oneshot: Most popular stand-alone oneshot is The Bells of Kardia Cathedral. (Most popular oneshot in a series is you don't get what all this is about, of wawl/wawh.)

Favorite story you’ve written so far: Well, I'm super-obsessed with wawl/wawh, of course. I also really love The Legends Have Been Forgotten (If They Were Ever Known), the age of wizardry is over, Something Like a Love Story, and You Can Lead An Ostrich-Horse To Water.

Fic you were nervous to post: All My Love and You Can Lead An Ostrich-Horse To Water. Those are both fics I held off writing for months because I wasn't sure how they would be received. I was also a little nervous about Something Like a Love Story, because it was my first time writing a story that was so focussed on a romance.

How do you choose your titles: They usually come from a) song lyrics, or b) a line from in the story. There are times when I do get titles from other places, though.

Do you outline: Sometimes? I have a strong outline for wawl/wawh, and I've got some semi-decent ones for a handful of other fics, but usually I don't bother.

Complete: Outside of oneshots, the only really good completed fic I have right now is The Waterfall Effect.

Do you accept prompts: Yup! I'm really slow, and super picky about ships, but if you send me a character-centric and/or non-ship specific prompt, odds are that I'll get to it eventually.

Upcoming story you’re most excited to write about: I'm hard at work writing my fic for the @secrettunnelatla Big Bang. (Thanks so much to @trekkele, who has already finished two gorgeous pieces of fanart for it that I am so excited for y'all to see!) It's a story I've been planning out, working on, and teasing you guys about for nearly a year, and I am so hyped to know that I'll finally be able share it very soon. I am also working on a story for @freedjustineappreciation's Freed Day, which will be on November 17. It's shaping up to be the longest oneshot I've ever written (I'm already over 3000 words, and I've barely scratched the surface of where I want to take it), and I cannot wait to share it with the world.

Stories you’re most excited to read: I'm really loving @somanyfamdomswhy's Redemption (Fairy Tail Avengers-esque AU), @pencilofawesomeness's How to Raise Your Dragon Slayers (Papalogia AU) is so good, @catie-does-things's Fate Deferred (Aang wakes up ten years later, Zutara AU) is really interesting, @evienyx's Fractures (Zuko was imprisoned after the Agni Kai AU) has my whole heart, @izzyaro's Strange Visitors From Another Century (Harry, Ron and Hermione travel back in time to meet the Hogwarts founders) is amazing, @pigeonchest's not supposed to come home (Toph traveling with Zuko during his banishment) is one of my biggest inspirations, @knittyninja's The Truth Comes to Light (Earthbender Lu Ten AU) is soooo cool, @lynzine's Family: Lost and Found (Grandpa Aang/Roku) is adorable, @song-of-fairies's My Brother's Not Normally a Psychopath, Promise! (Natsu remembers his past AU) is a concept I wish I'd come up with myself, @awesomeavocadolove's Another Brother (Zuko is adopted into the Water Tribe AU) is incredible (no pressure about updates, love, take all the time you need!), and @mushi9's Capturing Her Damaged Heart (Fairy Tail Zombie AU) is absolutely captivating.

These are in no particular order. Again I will gush about each of them.

1. Veronica Mars

Who doesn’t love Veronica? I honestly don’t remember how I got into this show. Probably tumblr. But god. After I finished season one, I was obsessed. It’s currently one of three shows where I own the entire DVD box set. I used to watch it like every three months. Kristen Bell just brings something to this character that I have trouble finding anywhere else. Yes, there’s the Nancy Drew factor. But I like to think that Veronica knows she the smartest person in the room at all times. I love her quick wit and predilection for shenanigans.

2. Catalina Baylor

Ilona Andrews is probably my favorite author. And the Hidden Legacy series is just one of the fabulous gems in her treasure trove of books. Catalina is one of the protagonists of this series. Unlike her older sister, Nevada, Catalina just always seems to be more serious and reserved. Like she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. I have loved watching her grow throughout this series. And her interactions with Alessandro, her insanely hot and insanely aggravating partner in crime, are honestly the reason I get up in the morning. Cannot wait for her next book. (Seriously if you love urban fantasy or just great story telling, please read Ilona Andrews, I begging you.)

3. Kate Daniels

This is Kate. She knows a lot. She also likes to stab things with her sword. She is the main character of the Kate Daniel series by Ilona Andrews. Kate is awesome. She is probably also very tired from constantly getting dragged into trouble. Kate also has a big mouth and likes to pick fights with anything that scares her. She is precious. I love her.

4. Petra Solano

I can’t believe I once hated her. Petra is honestly of the most well written female characters in the last 10 years. Fight me. I love her vanity and her success and her road to redemption was so satisfying to watch.

5. Mazikeen

Yet another bisexual femme fatale I look up to (and may also have a crush on). Maze! I love how cutthroat she is one second and how insanely emotional she is the next. She’s a constant reminder for me that no matter how tough you are, some times life just gets you. She deserves so much & I hope she gets it!!

6. Sakura Haruno

This! Woman! Right! Here!!!!!!!!!! Can u believe??????? Look at her destroy him!!!!! And looking fabulous as she does it!!!! Okay. So like. Sakura is the best. And I can’t stand that people think she’s annoying. It comompletly underscores how hard she worked to make it this far. To get to a point where she is, without a doubt, the most powerful kunoichi in all the shinobi world. That didn’t happen overnight and it was a long struggle to get here. I’m just so proud of her and all she’s accomplished.

7. Shinomiya Kaguya

This adorable dork is another reason I get up in the morning. Between the anime and the manga, I can’t get enough of her ridiculousness. I love how she’s somehow equal parts innocent naïveté and calculating genius. This kind of contradiction wrapped up in a such a cute package? I can see why Shirogane fell her for.

8. Aelin Ashryver Galanthynius

I recently finished the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and decided the Aelin is one of my favorite characters of all time. I love her mind. I love her wit. I love her schemes. I love her strength. I love her. I need to reread this series ASAP.

9. Princess Yona

Okay, so I know that the anime for Akatsuki No Yona (Yona of the Dawn) is a few years old. But like. It’s my favorite anime of all time. And the manga is my favorite manga. I love this story more than anything. The idea of a princess being betrayed and have to run off with only her single guard to try surviving on her own when she’s been pampered her entire life. The transformation she goes through, the journey she takes, and where she’s at currently (in the manga), just fills me with so much appreciation that a character and a story like Yona’s exists.

10. Sydney Sage

Sydney Katherine Sage is amazing. I cannot believe the difference between where she started and where she ended up. And I cannot believe most of all how utterly and completely and stupidly in love Adrien Ivashkov is with his amazing wife. Not that I blame him.

I said I’d post something once school is done, and it’s not out yet but I’m pretty much done and doing very little. So! Since I was laid off, I’m open to doing one-shot commissions for the time being!
